De Moksha Eco Friendly Boutique Resort

Overall it's pretty good. The introduction didn't show parking, so at first I was having trouble parking. When I got to the door, I saw that 3 cars could be parked, and there were spaces available just a few steps away. Someone helped carry the luggage. Tipping is not mandatory but I still gave some. After all, they put in the work. There are private swimming pools and large public swimming pools. The bathrooms and toilets are semi-open air. If you don't like to be close to nature, don't choose this one because there are a lot of mosquitoes and there will be a lot of ants crawling on the toilet. Choose carefully if you are mysophobic! Breakfast is okay. It's not a buffet but there are many varieties to choose from. And the juice is freshly squeezed by yourself!

It's always been my pleasure to come back to this resort, with its serene surroundings, warm and helpful welcome from the team, exactly what me and my best friend needs for our girl's time moment. Just a couple of glitches in our canopy room, like the shower on the bathtub on the rooftop, was leaking, the hotel sandals could be made better (because mine flopped twice) and the pump for the shower bottle was jammed. The rest...oh amazing! Definitely will come back!
Bali Beach Glamping

A beautiful gem in the middle of almost nowhere, the tented “villagio” is located on the beach reached via a road that is quite bumpy and unpaved at times. The greenery is beautifully cared for within the glamping area, and some tents overlook the nearby rice fields. Everything was very neat and clean, the large and helpful staff always said hello and many of them speak very good English compared to the level found at other resorts. The restaurant is quite good even if some dishes tried were not very tasty although all always very well presented, in general the prices seemed to me a little high compared to what we have seen in other resorts of the same level which I find a bit incorrect not having other external alternatives easily accessible. Even the SPA has a bit high prices in my opinion, we tried the 2.5h couple Journey (about €70 discounted) although pleasant, it didn't drive us ”crazy”. The strong point for us, in addition to the very nice, clean and equipped tent and in our case near the ocean was for us the buffet breakfast (not very common in Bali) with a great variety of fresh food, fruit, and a chef for egg dishes upon request. Surely even the sunset from the pool was a wonderful sight. The beach, although all in all clean and pretty, does not allow bathing due to usually high waves. We did not appreciate the organization of noisy events on the 17th morning (from 9:30) when it was not yet check-out time and therefore we were entitled to enjoy the morning in peace and relaxation, which is not possible given the high-octane celebrations/games volume I believe related to independence day.

It’s our first visit to WakaGangga and the villa with pool garden view certainly did not disappoint. Warm hospitality was extended to us from the reception to the restaurant staff and even extending to the housekeeping department throughout our one night stay. They were extremely accommodating to our every request. A late check out surprise till 6pm was even offered to us without we asking and at no charges. Bottles of drinking water were also given readily and sent to us swiftly. Everyone at the villa is committed to making our stay a truly memorable one. And it truly is as it’s a belated birthday present given by my brother! A little suggestion would be delightful if more food selection are included at the restaurant. Thank you to all the team at WakaGangga and we will definitely come back again. Well done!

Compared to the nearby villas, this price is quite competitive, and the rooms and furnishings are very clean, surrounded by rice fields, it feels very calm. The bad place is that there is no block under the door, there are many ants in the house, the bath is very comfortable, the water temperature is also very high, it is very suitable for relaxing after returning from the beach

More about Bali

Introduction to Bali

Bali, an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, and stunning beaches, is the country's most famous tourist destination. Filled with ancient temples, rich arts and crafts, and a vibrant nightlife, Bali offers a kaleidoscopic blend of natural beauty and cultural depth.

Tips for Travelling to Bali

Bali's main international gateway is Ngurah Rai International Airport, located near the capital city, Denpasar. Travelers can explore Bali through taxis, local buses, bicycles, motorbikes, or even hired cars.

The official currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Most hotels and restaurants accept credit cards, but having some cash on hand for local markets and smaller venues is recommended. Indonesian is the official language, but English is widely spoken in tourist areas.

As for visas, many nationalities can enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days, but it's best to check before your journey.

Popular Attractions in Bali

Bali offers a wealth of cultural and natural attractions. Explore the ancient temples of Tanah Lot and Uluwatu, or immerse yourself in the artistic heritage of Ubud, Bali's cultural heart. Visit the Tegalalang Rice Terraces and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary for unique experiences.

Bali's beaches are equally enticing, with Kuta Beach, Seminyak Beach, and Nusa Dua Beach offering vibrant beach life. Surfing enthusiasts will love the waves at Uluwatu and Canggu.

Weather, Best Time to Visit, and What to Wear

Bali enjoys a tropical climate with temperatures fairly consistent year-round. The best times to visit are during the dry season, from April to October. Bring lightweight, breathable clothing, a hat, and sunscreen to protect from the sun. Also, remember to dress modestly when visiting temples.

Choosing Your Ideal Hotel in Bali

For luxury beachfront accommodation, consider the Legian Bali or the W Bali in Seminyak. In Ubud, the Hanging Gardens of Bali offers a unique luxury experience with its Instagram-famous infinity pool.

For budget travelers, the Puri Garden Hotel and Hostel in Ubud offers comfort and excellent service. The Dash Hotel Seminyak, with its eclectic and colorful design, is an Instagram-worthy stay.
