Randomly found this lovely hotel and restaurant driving around the local area. Stunning location! With amazing views of the mountains and lochs. Puppy friendly was a big bonus. Great menu, fast service, food was great. Definitely recommend. Staff were great also! Keep up the good work :)

Easy to find and close to the Glenfinnan and Glencoe areas and attractions of the West Highlands which accounts for the cost of the rooms. The hotel sits on Loch Linnhe and provides a gorgeous view of the highlands and Ben Nevis. There’s a working boat slip that is not busy. There’s a green space for the dogs to run. Lots of parking. There is a pool, but we didn’t use it. The hotel is very family-oriented and we don’t have kids so we left the pool to the families. We stayed in the Captain's King Room with Sea View. It was large with king bed, two comfortable chairs, a coffee table, desk, and night stands. The balcony included a table and chairs and overlooked the loch—excellent view. The bathroom was large with a tub and separate shower and a big shelf for our personal toiletries. No robes provided. A kettle was provided along with teas and instant coffee and biscuits. They don’t provide a daily housekeeping service but did upon requested. Though there was a large crowd enjoying the outdoor seating below us at the bar, when we closed the sliding door to the balcony we couldn’t hear the other guests at all—the sound proofing for the hotel was that good! The restaurant was large as well as the bar. The bar also had outdoor seating. The included breakfast was a buffet of cold cereals and Scottish breakfast which allowed us to pick and chose from the Scottish breakfast instead of being given the whole huge thing! The staff in the hotel and restaurant very friendly and attentive. There’s limited access to the loch beach from the hotel and no place to go for a walk directly from the hotel since it is on the major road. Despite the amazing daytime view, this is not a dark sky hotel. They keep a flood light on the boat slip (I’m guessing for safety) and some flood lights at the beach house area too. This was annoying since we were hoping to see the Northern Lights from there. The taste of the breakfast was only fair since it was sitting out in the hot plates even though we got there as soon as they started serving. We chose not to eat other meals there.

We decided to come here as our go to hotel was fully booked. We had room 19 on 2nd floor room ok shocking layout could not relax in bed and watch telly .Rooms not soundproof was spoiled by prik guest in room18 playing drum and base music had to rattle door to get him to turn down ok. As I was up decided to go for nightcap went to bar all dark closed up it's only 10.10 pm raging .Had dinner both nights had haddock and chips first night . Firstly the fish was not haddock not even cod chips had strange texture no likey following night steak pie v nice wife had haggis and chicken v nice no chips this time had spuds .On both nights food came from kitchen within minutes defo not par cooked. So to sum up paid too much for room for what it was food very average and expensive drive on bye .

Very overpriced. Won't be back. Paying for the view. I expect better for £240 for a night. Total rip off. Clean, staff nice, room basic, feel a bottle of water would've been good. Views terrific. No atmosphere in hotel. Very much like a canteen. Don't waste your hard earned cash.

Our family totalling 8 stayed in the Beach cottages. Simply stunning location. Accommodation terrific! Small issue addressed by Edward who is a credit to the hotel.Downside short sighted minister of transport to cancel the line to Kentallen in 1966 regardless of the introduction of the motor cars.Look forward to revisiting.

9 of our family stayed in one of the beach villas at hollytree which was awesome. We dined in the Hollytree hotel on the Sunday evening 17 March. The food was excellent. The evening was only marred by a very rude man screaming at the waiter at the next table to us in a full restaurant, about his food. The waiter tried to placate him, however he continued shouting. He then ranted to the young waitress at the bar area that there would be “a sh$t show from the media tomorrow”. We were shocked by this behaviour, and all felt that any complaint really should have been dealt with away from the earshot of the rest of the diners. The staff were all lovely and helpful throughout our stay.

Have stayed here quite a few times in the past and was sorry to see how much it has deteriorated. Rooms are still quite comfortable, but not tidied or cleaned during the 3 days we stayed there and the broadband would not connect in the room because too far from the access point. However the food and drink was the biggest disappointment. Cloudy and sour Bellhaven replaced by Guinness that was about to go bad as well. Both my wife and I had a fillet steak which was tough and dry (and charged at £36 each). My replacement rib-eye was not bad although replaced with poor attitude. The following day a dry and tough cheeseburger and fish with soggy batter crisped up on the outside. On the final day some quite decent scallops thermidor. Breakfast was equally disappointing. In the past breakfast was served and had full Scottish as well as smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, kippers, tasty porridge etc. Now it is a sub-standard buffet of sausage and bacon and fried or scrambled eggs and no option for a continental.

Stunning lodges. Stayed for my 40th birthday. Loved paddle boarding in Loch Linnhe right outside the lodge. Hot tub was amazing. Boiler temperamental so arrived to a freezing cold house and heating wouldn't work. Very memorable birthday. Views and sunsets incredible.
