Hotel TwentySeven - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Amsterdam|0.45km from The Candy Corner
The hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam's Dam Square, to Chinatown, just a 10-minute walk from the red light district. The hotel is opposite the Queen's department store, the most exclusive department store in Amsterdam with many designer shops, and the shopping street is the second road on the left side of the hotel. On the pedestrian street, about two or thirty minutes is the flower market. On the right side is the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. On the first floor is the famous watch shop. Walk to Haicheng Restaurant for five minutes. The hotel has only 16 rooms in a boutique hotel. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the airport. It can be reached by walk from Amsterdam Central Railway Station for about 15 minutes. It is recommended to take a taxi for large luggage, because the road along the road is uneven and difficult to tow. Between 20-30 euros, because you have to detour. The hotel ci is located on the third floor, the service is warm and thoughtful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, stylish and sophisticated, the smart panel control system is convenient to use, provide late bed service, welcome chocolate and use French Langfan toiletries in Amsterdam hotel Should be among the best. The hotel offers a restaurant on the third floor, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only products are available, and the price is not high. Because there are too many restaurants around the hotel, the competition is strong. The bar is also on the third floor, and the evening is fragrant. This hotel is worth checking in, but it needs to be booked 15 to 30 days in advance, otherwise the price will rise.

Given the reviews, I was not keen to stay here, but thanks to Ajax v Napoli there were no others available. To sum up, this isn't a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It is a 3 star hotel. Positives: - Location is superb - Architecturally stunning building - Large room (in my case, at least) - WiFi speeds are good. I was able to do video meetings from my room - Staff were pleasant and friendly Negatives: - Inside, the hotel is dark and in a state of disrepair - The kitchen closes early, and room service appears to not be possible. I was told that I should download Uber Eats if I wanted food after 10pm. - The room is tidy, but basic areas like around the sinks, bath, windows and TV were dirty - There is a smell of sewage that comes from the shower drain - The majority of channels on the TV are unavailable - There is no air conditioning. I had 2 tower fans in my room, and I had to use them both just to stay cool - No help with luggage, not that I couldn't manage myself - You get a bottle of water on the table when you check in. I had some the first night because it was so hot in the room. The second night when I was working late, I turned to open my fresh bottle. Nope! Same half empty bottle, had just been moved back to the table again. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel! Stay somewhere else. A few weeks earlier, I stayed in the Sofitel Legend. THAT is a 5 star hotel.

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel within 1 week. Extremely happy with the service, the friendliness, the cleanliness and the general atmosphere of this hotel. Larissa at reception is the friendliest and obliging reception I have ever encountered. Vincent the maintenence man is extremely helpful with tips abt Amsterdam city and of course if anything needs to be done. The manager is helpful and always willing to answer many questions and give correct advice. To sum up I highly recommend this hotel for short or long stay. Very well priced with excellent service.

The location is really very good, convenient from anywhere, the hotel is small, but understandable, the location in the city center, everything is worth it, there is a chance to come to the Netherlands again, it is really a man ’s paradise

It's not our first time at the hotel. Last time was just before lockdown in 2020. Nothing has changed. it's as good as ever. We had a room at the back of the hotel this time as opposed to the front. The room was a slightly strange shape as some are here. It was spotlessly clean, beds are extremely comfortable, the shower excellent and always nice and hot. The rooms are basic but have everything you need, you don't visit Amsterdam to stay in your room. The hotel staff are excellent, friendly, helpful and very friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. There is an excellent coffee machine in the lobby, which is free to use for guests. Breakfast, an excellent choice of hot and cold food, pastries, juices, hot drinks, well worth paying extra for. The hotel is perfectly situated in the centre. Well done again, and I'm sure we'll see you again soon.

The room is not big, the victory is convenient, just next to the central station and ***, from the station, walk along the main road for a few minutes. From here to the palace, to *** are very short walks.

We were greeted with a room that was not cleaned. There was BLOOD on bed sheets and the bed frame, floors and walls are dirty, high touch surfaces not wiped (tv buttons covered in greasy fingerprints), no remote for the tv and a smashed mirror. The bathroom is completely covered in black mould and the shower had not been cleaned, with a previous guests snot blown down the wall. We immediately spoke to reception who said they would go and clean the room for us, we returned many hours later and no one had been in. We went down again to speak to the manager. We were told we should have come down immediately, even though we did. We cancelled our remaining nights, he initially was asking for bank details to return the money even though we booked through Booking.com and it should be refunded through them. He refused to refund our tourist tax. We had to return every day of our four days in Amsterdam to have any of this resolved. We tried disputing paying full price for a filthy room in which we slept on top of the sheets and did not use the filthy shower. The manager refuses to give any phone number or contact for ”head office” and says he will forward the complaint on when it's quite obvious he will not. Upon our last visit in which I demanded the tourist tax be refunded to us, he kept telling us the problem is resolved now as the remaining nights fees had been refunded and he doesn't care, and then threatened to call the police if we didn't leave, also being lovely enough to tell my partner to go fxck himself after chucking €18 tourist tax on the counter. This hotel is disgusting and the service appalling. The pub on the corner said they have issues like this constantly, and that even stag dos regularly leave because of the state of the rooms. AVOID AVOID AVOID! For a similar priced but much nicer stay, try Acostar Hotel on Kerkstraat.
