I recently stayed at this hotel and had an overall positive experience. The location is incredibly convenient, with a direct train to the city center that takes less than 15 minutes, making it perfect for exploring. The room was clean and well-maintained, with the added bonus of a TV equipped with Netflix and YouTube for entertainment.
The only downside was the bathroom’s ventilation, which could use some improvement, as there was a slight odor. Despite this minor issue, I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning due to the excellent location and comfortable accommodations.
Convenient location as it is just beside Noord station. Good customer service and nice breakfast served. Enjoyed the stay as the room is nice and clean.
Had a lovely stay at this hotel! It's in a pretty convenient location that's just a 13 minute walk away from a free ferry (that comes every 5 minutes or so) and gets you to Amsterdam Centraal within 3 minutes. The room (we had a queen + sofa bed combo) was decently sized, comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed the included breakfast - cold cuts, hard-boiled eggs, breads/pastries of all kinds, and yogurt were the main options, and they were tasty; the area was also spacious and they had the food dispersed throughout, so even though it was busy at times, there wasn't really any wait ever. They also had a lovely library space in the lobby that was perfect for working or reading. Would absolutely stay again if we found ourselves back in the city!

Great hotel! Pleasantly surprised that the hotel looked so nice on the inside!
Highly recommended! Neat hotel, clean, friendly employees. The room was not very big, but we came there to sleep.
We will definitely come back here!
Oh yes and delicious cookies!!!
Really lovely hotel with friendly staff and great room. I particularly love that the bed can be angled up for reading. Shower wasn’t very strong but hot enough. Location though is the big let down for me. The area around the hotel has a lot of building work and a part didn’t have pedestrian path at all. I won’t be rebooking this hotel purely down to location but will book other Yotel as I really like the style of hotel
We were here for F1. Location is key for us. Only 10 mins to central station with ferry 24 hours. Hotel decoration is very trendy and unique at 80-90's industrial finishing . They have a roof top bar and some sort of amusement on roof, haven't had a chance to go since the right schedule or F1. Very value for money. Check in is smooth and everyone is so welcome!
This was about the only hotel within the area proximity I wanted that wasn’t costing an arm and a leg and had a lot of positive feedback. It was pretty helpful that a free shuttle was provided so it made the transition from the central station to the hotel much easier. I am not sure how guests of certain races are treated at NH Amsterdam but upon arrival at the reception area the person attending to us was trembling for dear life. I guess perhaps being non-Caucasian might posses a threat or maybe it was her first day working there. I really can’t be certain, but it really isn’t a good look if the receptionist can’t get her job done without shaking like a leaf when handing the paper to sign, when taking ones credit card, when handing the keys etc. The room was pretty comfortable, we were given one with a balcony on the second floor which was nice because the view was pretty amazing. Overall the room was clean but a little more attention can be paid to the bathroom. The hair dryer cord was very dusty. It is also pretty difficult to understand the heating system at the hotel. We only figured it out the last night being there, so our room was cold for the majority of our stay. Considering it is winter time, it would be nice if the housekeeper after cleaning, would keep the room warm and not have the ac on cold. We would always returning to a freezing room. The location was by far my favourite as it was only an 11 minutes walk to a train station. Getting buses to get around was not a problem and there was the added bonus of the shuttle. However, we getup and out pretty early and the shuttle doesn’t commence till 9am. The stay was a pleasant one and I would probably stay there again, as the negatives we encountered can be fixed I am sure.
Super five-star hotel, take a free ferry from Central Station 10 minutes to the North Shore, enter the NDSM Art District, 10 minutes to the hotel, a total of only three rooms, are independent, very refined and comfortable, super vision. From the top to the top of the night, you can take photos on the tower crane, which is very exciting, the only crane hotel in the world.
Oh my, I loved staying at BUNK Hotel Amsterdam. I was first attracted by the good reviews of this young hostel/hotel hybrid, booked it far enough in advance for an early bird discount, and just a couple of days into my seven day stay, I realized I'd truly gotten a great deal. BUNK Amsterdam is fantastic! Ugh, where to start? I rented a pod, which is in a large room containing about 50 pods. Pods are preferable to bunk beds or other kinds of barrack-style hostels. There is privacy, there is enough space for you to get comfortable, change your clothes, the mattress is fine, the blanket and pillow are very cushy and cozy, the curtain is thick and heavy. The lighting situation inside the pod is unique, one of those switches with a lot of color and tone options, so you can really light the pod to your mood. I slept very well considering I was in a room with 30-50 other people at any given time. You also get a private locker beneath your pod that can fit a suitcase and a backpack with relative ease, unless you've overpacked.
The bathroom is non-gendered, all the stalls are very clean and private. As a guy, it felt weird to use the bathroom while women were in it, so I blasted music in my earbuds to tune the world out while I did my business, ha. The showers are in a separate room and also very private. The water pressure is great and the showerheads are waterfall style. They have towels available at all hours. If you don't see any on the rack, just ask and there they shall be.
The biggest surprise for me here was the restaurant. The restaurant attached to BUNK is basically a 4-star restaurant with 2-star prices. They have a full bar with well-priced drinks and very skilled, very handsome bartenders/baristas who can craft a wide arrays of cocktails. The chefs are also highly skilled, and the servers are attentive and kind. The menu is diverse, ranging from avocado toast to an interesting Indonesia beef stew-like dish that I can only describe as mind-blowingly delicious. They also featured a ”taco” that was very tasty despite really not being a taco at all. My favorite breakfast (and perhaps favorite overall meal) was their Eggs Bennie with fresh smoked salmon. For dessert, on multiple occasions I ordered their popular Snickers dessert, which was peanut ice cream with caramel and shards of chocolate and brittle. I meant to do more foodie tourism during my week in Amsterdam, but the food was so good I wound up taking a good percentage of my meals in the BUNK restaurant. I snapped some pictures of the food I mentioned; it should go without saying that I am not a pro photographer.
The front desk is manned (or womaned) 24/7, so anytime there was an issue or I had a question, someone was available. They are very attentive with regards to customer service. I should also note with their keycard system and network of entrances and hallways, I felt very safe. They care about security there and take proper, non-intrusive methods to make sure everyone is comfortable. I should also mention the facility is just beautiful. It's built within a very old church, there is a library, plants everywhere, a calming vibe throughout, and a quiet room for work or study.
BUNK is located in the North section of Amsterdam (Noord). Noord is the quieter part of Amsterdam, suburb feeling as opposed to the city vibe elsewhere. It's extremely easy to get to the Central area from here though. There is a ferry about a 10 minute walk away that takes you to the central area, as well as a tram a five minute walk away that takes you directly to Centraal Station.
I really hit a home run choosing this place, BUNK Amsterdam truly delivered the goods. Great building, great amenities, great staff, great restaurant, great location. I would recommend this to anyone traveling solo or as a couple/small group. Very small group. It's great to stay for a couple of days or a whole week. I loved my experience here and would stay again if/when I return to Amsterdam. Great place.

PPypyppyThe location is nice. There’s a supermarket nearby and it’s pretty close to the place you take the free ferry to the station. There’s a big common area on ground floor for you to chill and there’s also a bar. The staff is quite nice.
I was living in female dorm room, it’s good that they have seperate bathroom and toilet en-suite and also outside of room so that I don’t have to pee myself.
The individual bed light is so strong that I feel like I would wake someone up if I keep that light up but I’m gonna be blind soon if I look at my phone in complete dark.
I slept well with the bed, except for the first night that a girl packed her stuff whole midnight crazy. (Which is not the hostel’s responsibility) travellers plz keep quiet in midnight, if you wanna make noise, go outside of the room.
AAnonymous UserNot a bad place overall, quite easy to check in and check out. Everything required was provided, quite a large apartment. All the information was provided before our arrival which was super helpful. In the future might choose the place again :)
WwongpollyHotel location is quiet, away from the hustle and bustle, there is a ferry to the center, the waiter is friendly 😊 worth living again!
The only flaw is that there is no elevator, luggage to be carried up to the 3rd floor, more laborious!
NNataHotel staff is really nice and helpful. Great location, 5 min walk to metro station, 10 min walk from free ferry, that will take you to the city center.
みみれThere is a free ferry from Amsterdam Central Station, which takes about 10 minutes to reach the hotel. The hotel itself is in the shape of a ship and faces the canal, making it a very interesting hotel.
When you open the window, you can see the canal in front of you.
The room and amenities we stayed in this time are the bare minimum, but if you just want to sleep, it's enough. Next time I would like to stay in a room with the letter BOTEL.
AAnonymous UserIf you get a GVB unlimited ride (metro, bus, tram, ferry) ticket, a bus will come every 5 minutes from the bus stop, which is a 2-minute walk away. 1 stop, door to door, and you will arrive in about 20 minutes. There is also convenient access to Schiphol Airport via South Station. Transportation convenience is very good.
If you walk for about 15 minutes on a comfortable walking path to North Station, you will find a spacious square with a basketball court, the municipal government building, a supermarket and a food court (with Asian cuisine), so I didn't have any trouble eating.
The police are right in front of the hotel, so there is no doubt that the town is safe and secure. I didn't see anyone who looked like a vagrant.
However, I made a reservation based on advance information that there was a laundry room, but there was no laundry room. I think you mean laundry service.
The lighting in the room is dim and not suitable for desk work. wifi is slow too.
GGuest User-taxes were added when we arrived, each night we add to pay 2€ per person plus others taxes not mentioned when we booked.
-it was very noisy, all night we could hear slamming doors and people talking from Time to Time.
-The bedroom was very big and well equiped (fridge) and the host was nice and handful.
For the price it was overall correct.
