Flight was delayed. I properly called and notified the front desk that I will be checking in after 3 AM and was assured that I could check in anytime and was assured they had left a note in their system about my late arrival. I arrived after several hours of travel and flight delays and landed at the hotel at 3:30 AM. Front desk employee said she had made my booking as a ‘No Show’ and would be able to assign a room as per my previous booking and asked me to book a new reservation as a ‘walk-in’ at a much higher rate (and I would lose the previous booking too). This was happening at 4 AM. But, I stood my ground. She made few phone calls and after a nearly 30 min wait time, gave me a room. I was so tired to sleep. No mood to even speak anything at the desk and finally crashed at 5 AM. In the morning, went down for coffee, my card did not work when returned. Had to go down and get different keys. Terrible experience overall.
