I made a booking for Luce among hotels I booked across Istanbul, Capadoccia, Alacati/Cesme and then again Istanbul on ********** earlier today. While all the hotels were refundable as I need to get stitches from a surgery removed day after before I can get the green signal to travel from the doc, by mistake I made the Luce booking as a non refundable one. I called both ********** and Luce within 2 hours as soon as I realised my mistake on seeing the email. And on Hotel Luce’s request, also sent them an email explaining the issue and my request (and can share medical proof if they would like). Somehow I got the feeling my money is not coming back, it was just the way in which my calls got transferred, and I so hope I am wrong. I am writing this review in the hope that both these highly rated organisations will be able to take notice and get my booking cancelled with full refund, for what was an honest mistake, which was identified immediately. With the ratings that this hotel has on Trip Advisor I am hoping they would indeed look to make customer service a delight and focus on treating their users as they would like to be treated themselves if they were in our shoes :)

small boutique hotel on the edge of town within easy walking distance to the centre of Alacati. Clean, spacious, well appointed room with good quality toiletries. Our room overlooked the pool with a great balcony. The pool area was quiet and relaxing with comfortable loungers, the garden area had shaded seating which was also used to serve breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea and cake. Breakfast was excellent quality, all fresh local products with a different freshly baked pastry every morning. Lavent, the owner, was absolutely brilliant, as were all his staff, very welcoming. Lavent spent time giving us tips of where to visit in the local area and made reservations at various places for us. His local knowledge made our stay in the area extra special. I would definitely stay here again.

A quick summary of my impressions: The good: - friendly staff - large room, confortable - swimming pool in a garden The bad: - the location is actually not great. Though the hotel is at walking distance from the center (5-6 min), it is located between a motorway and a large road. You hear the traffic in the garden. - there was no blinder/curtain in the room, at all. You wake up with the sun at 5am…

Very clean and comfortable hotel with lovely staff. Breakfast is excellent. Our room were clean all the time. The hotel was calm and served great breakfast. The 5 o’clock tea was great. The location is perfect 5 minutes walking distance from the center. Paradise hotel

Our stay at Luce Design Hotel was the highlight of our Alacati experience! The owners and the staff are all super friendly and genuine. It is clear that they love what they do and enjoy spending time with guests and making their experiences special.
Also - breakfast at Luce is the best one in Alacati!
