|12.11km from downtownWhen I came after midnight (it was already Monday 27.03.2023) there were 3 men at the reception. All kind and helpful. One kindly accompanied me to the room. I'd assume he was a trainee. There was some noise at night that woke me up at night. Not sure where it was coming from, but probably from the corridor. I'd expect 4* hotel to be kind of sound proof like other hotels of that range are. When I was checking out at 7 AM the same day, I politely left the key card at the reception and greeted the receptionist, but he didn't seem to be interested in my presence. There was a grumpy and brusque receptionist at that time (short, well-groomed man). Such people shouldn't work in hospitality! In addition, when I was leaving the reception, he sighed deeply and out loud.. Such a frustrated person.. Breakfast was below the average for 4* hotels.

|2.1km from downtownThis is a great staple for Muscat: clean as a whistle and usually fine. The area around the hotel. however, is something else. Parents sitting at door watching and doing nothing as their little varmints run all over the road, aim their go-karts at passing cars, then banging on the vehicle dare it stop. Expect their Mother - or what passes for an adult - to act? Not on your life. Meanwhile their overindulged brats run amok. It's a shame. It ruins the ambiance of the area and Omanis are normally good at keeping their kids in check.

I am a girl, traveling alone, and the stay experience at this hotel is very poor. First of all, the taxi at the entrance of the hotel is the hotel's internal car team. The slaughter of passengers is serious and unreasonable. I took it once. The original fare of 5 rias was charged 10 rias. Finally, I took a more detour. When getting off the bus, the Arab driver shouted at me for 2 more riya, quite rude. When I left, I had to take a taxi to the airport and stopped a taxi at the door, but the uncle of the hotel taxi team called the other taxis and forced my luggage to his own trunk, not saying that they had to take the same price. I was angry, but they were unreasonable, and they argued with each other. I called the manager of the hotel, and the manager looked at it and then stood by! Secondly, during my stay, I was knocked on the door by a local drunk man in the next room. I later learned that this hotel has a bar, and the local wind is not good. I did see some local young ladies in and out of the evening dressed in cool clothes. . . The above wrote his own experience, hope to provide reference for the countrymen.

Compared to the narrow space of the hotel, the space here is simply too convenient to say that the location is super convenient and the largest mall in Oman. If you like to cook for yourself, you can buy ingredients in the Carrefour store. There is a separate parking lot at the door and there is a taxi for a long time, but the taxi must be told first. The price is strongly recommended for the whole family.

Location is just perfect, parking in front of the hotel free, connected directly to Panorama Mall. Rooms: very spacious, with a living room and a kitchenette (kettle, fridge, microwave..) and a bedroom (separated by door) - from the bedroom opens the bathroom. For this type of apartment (1 bedroom apartment) you have 2 balconies - due to size of the balcony there is no space for terrace furniture. Bed is comfortable, the bath may need a bit of renovation and more attention by cleaning, but all in one is very good. There is also a roof pool, sauna and fitness center at the property with no extra charge. Staff: extremely kind and helpful, nice and even the reservation department was open for all our requests (early check-in, information about the city, location) and recommendation for breakfast and snacks at Gloria Jeans were also useful. Staff and location made our stay 10*.

The soundproofing was not bad and there are many people staying at low prices for a long time.
For meals, it was 3omr (in my case I went to the restaurant separately in the morning) and it was good for vegetarians or small eaters.

We decided to go for my girlfriends birthday and the team worked exceptionally well with me to deliver a unforgettable experience.
Getting to the Shangri La was a bit of a challenge and taxis do not come cheap in Oman. Though it was not challenging I do wish there was a pickup/drop off option for the guests.
The inclusive breakfast was wonderful and ordering off the menu assured that everything you ordered stayed fresh. There was a mixup with our order due to a language barrier but the food was still phenomenal.
The in room breakfast and room service was a highlight as it allowed you to take full advantage of the room and with the inbuilt heaters in the dining table assured the food stayed hot. The value for money on in room dining was disappointing as an order of a burger and fries came with a small amount of fries, however that was fixed with our next order.
The afternoon tea was delicious, highlights being the fromage and watermelon and the scones. Each afternoon tea was different and kept the palate excited.
The happy hour beverages were also included and always came with a suprise canapé from the restaurant.
In terms of the staycation, it was perfect. The interior and exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the sound of the ocean left you relaxed for the stay.
I would like to raise that there was a lot of sealife by the beach which deterred us from swimming in the sea as we had heard a lot about the Omani coast and didn’t have much confidence in the beach patrol and lifeguards there. We noticed some playing on their phones but they were always happy to assist taking a picture for the two of us. I would suggest a more upfront approach when it comes to what you can expect in the sea there.
A visitors lounge was also available allowing you to take full opportunity of the facilities till you left for your next adventure.

Coach Chamith has trained me in less than 7 days where in i had taken a 10 days swimming class package. I have fought my fear of water and is able to swim in deep water as well with confidence. Chamith sir taught me free style, back stroke, relaxed style, floating and deep water swimming in less than 10 classes and I am extremely happy and more than satisfied with my experience there. Must try for anyone who would like to fight their fears and learn swimming at any age group. They have separate sessions for adults and kids.

Recently became part of Raddison and needs a bit of a make over as the hotel is essentially in a late 90s time warp in a nice sort of way. Room good size, but the windows let in a lot of street noise due to the fact they are plastic ill fitting and warped. The shower design is hopeless with water gushing over the bathroom floor underneath the glass screen. No BBC or CNN which I get but I don't. A lot of their guests are from the US, UK and Australia, so why not add one channel to the 50 that speaks English??? Breakfast really very good. Loads of choice and a really good buffet. All staff kind and helpful. Small pool on the roof for those that want to take a dip and breath in CO from the passing highway. A good business style hotel that caters for tourists like me. An ideal base for a couple of days prior to our Oman road trip.

|2.34km from downtownI spend 4 nights in this hotel in the center of a capital city. There are exchanges, shops (with Omani typical sweets for example) and restaurants around the hotel. You will have nice view - you can see a Grand Sultan Mosque (especially at night). There is a terrace on the top of the hotel with a swimming pool. Hotel is really beautiful with nice interior. Rooms are clean, big and with nice furniture (like in a fairytale about princess Scheherazade). Hotel staff is very kind and professional. There is no problem they can´t solve. They can speak english very well. Food is delicious, continental breakfast and dinner a la card. I can highly recommend this hotel :)

The hotel is a little remote and, in May, the outside temperature too high however I slept well, I liked the Belgian and Thai restaurants and enjoyed the gym. As ever, people matter more than places. The vast range of cuisine from around the world is amazing, you will be spoilt for choice! The half board package includes soft drinks x tea/ coffee. The ladies in red are constantly available to support and meet your hotel needs, nothing is too much trouble. The poolside is relaxing and well maintained and directly overlooks a private beach. Ice cold bottles of water are regularly replenished by friendly pool staff. We highly recommend this hotel, it’s a short drive from the airport, and a five minute walk to a beautiful marina where you can access boats to go scuba diving and explore the beautiful marine life in the crystal clear sea. Oman and this hotel is a treasure that will not disappoint. We look forward to returning.!
