The hotel staff are friendly and can communicate in English at the front desk. The breakfast buffet is rich. The room is compact. The water pressure in the shower room and wash basin is amazing. I was a little surprised when I first used it. Although it is close to the street and the port, the double-layer soundproof doors and windows are very effective. , you can sleep peacefully at night. The food for the dinner is excellent, which shows the skill of the chef. Overall very satisfied 👍

Considering the price, it is a pretty good hotel. The difference between the hotel near Omonia Square that I stayed just before is the difference between the cloud mud. Close to the station, the room is clean (it is), and the people at the front desk are kind and friendly. I chose to stay near the ferry stop to go to Mykonos Island, but it was correct. However, since the amenities are only soap, you need to bring shampoo or shave. And it was good that there were few others in my time, but I can hear quite other rooms.

I stumbled into this hotel late at night, a lone female having fled from an unwise booking at a nearby property. I must have looked a terribly bedraggled prospect. They gave me a sympathetic welcome, found me a room, sent room service up with the perfect supper option and I was even in time to watch most of the football (yes, THAT game- Spain-England) on the excellent TV. This is an excellent hotel staffed by lovely people. The breakfast was pretty good too. Thank you, Athenarum Portus.

I so much love this hotel, the cleanliness was superb, the staff’s hospitality was top notch, they were so helpful and friendly, one of the staff even gave me her sandwich to eat because I arrived late and all the store and restaurants were closed, there was nothing to eat. I would always recommend this hotel to my friends, my sister also recommended the hotel to me and I won’t hesitate to do the same.

At this price it's normal.Near port. But the rooms have been old since Aristotle. There's no roseetock to charge the phone.Because of the strike I couldn't come on February 28.I asked to change without a supplement to 29. I have not changed.I had to cancel the reservation and reservation at double price. It is not possible to do so.On the fault of Blu Star of the state company I couldn't arrive on ferry .In the toilet from the tap water flows right to the toilet.

Stayed one night here before departing on a cruise. Very good location near shops, restaurants, and some pretty churches. Basic room is large by European standards, clean with composite floor and no carpeting. Discovered a cooktop and refrigerator in a closet just before we checked out. European bath with no shower curtain and a splashing sink. €13 per person continental breakfast. Instant coffee and tea in room.

The hotel is really nice, clean, modern and right next to the port in Piraeus. It makes for easy access if going to the Greek islands. It's near a mall/eating area. I didn't visit, but it looks nice. All of the amenities inside are great and access to the hotel is easy. You need to contact the company beforehand by WhatsApp to get the codes to enter the building. It's a bit hidden behind the corner and not well marked. It's on the 6th floor in some old elevator, but it is fine. The only complaint I have is that they turn the power completely off when there are no guests. I understand that it saves money, but entering an apartment that hasn't been used for awhile means that the air is extremely hot, to the point that it will be unbearable for a few hours until the air condition properly works. It also only shoots in one direction, not facing the bed or couch, so it's a bit useless while you wait for it to cool down the place. Other than that, it seems like an ideal place to stay if just for a night and are planning to leave early in the morning.

This is a terrific hotel! A boutique tucked into the busy streets adjacent to the Piraeus Port of Athens. The design is new, contemporary and impressive. Clever and attractive artistic choices from the hanging strings of gemstones in the internal center of the floor layout to the whimsical and beautiful mural and furnishings in the restaurant. The rooms are small and very functional. The bathrooms are disproportionately large for the room size and luxurious for Europe with large showers appointed with modern fixtures. The desk staff was wonderful! They were helpful with questions and service needs. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and trying pastries at the many small well-stocked bakeries.

I spent a pleasant 8 days in the hotel. Ctrip and Ctrip overseas where it is cheap to book from. I divided 5 orders. It is not the longer the order time. It is very troublesome to skip the price and it is easy to make mistakes. This trip stayed for 48 days, this hotel is the highest star rating, the room is the largest, tax 4 euros a day is the most expensive. It is convenient to travel in Bigang, not far from the subway, trams and buses. I met a wonderful person. Someone opened the door in the room. It was a restaurant waiter. After opening the door, I said two Greek words and left. I couldn't understand it. I negotiated with the front desk. I lacked patience. I showed my face. It took a long time to understand that it was testing the minibar consumption. Different countries have different habits. Can't you be patient? So give a smile less. Other front desks are good. The speed of the network is very slow, and there is often no network, which makes my computer need hot spots for Internet access, which is too inappropriate. There is no chair, it is too tired to lean on a stool. Fortunately, I gave a back chair at the front desk, thank you. Send photos of the harbor and Easter activities to have fun.

Plaka

Adams Hotel is a basic hotel with an incredible location. It is located hotel in the heart of the popular Plaka area. LOCATION: It could not have been more central. We walked everywhere. It is a 5 - 6 minute walk to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. Hadrian’s Arch and the Temple of Olympian Zeus are just around the corner. It is close to Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets, lively, fun streets full of restaurants, bars and shops. Brettos Bar (which I highly recommend) is just a few minutes away. ROOM: Our room was very small but we were only there for one night and it was clean and the bed was comfortable, so it did the job. It was perfectly adequate and was good value for the price. There were small compromises for example the soap/shampoo were in dispensers on the wall instead of having separate toiletries and the towels were small and thin but on the upside, the water supply was strong and stayed hot. SERVICE: Service was consistently friendly and welcoming. Email communication before we arrived was good. They replied quickly and they gave us clear instructions for arrival. They stored our bags for a few hours after check-out so that we could go and explore. In any case we were not rushed out as check-out was 12:00, which is a generous time. A buffet-style breakfast was included in the price. The dining room at the front of the hotel was a pleasant spot to sit and the breakfast was fine. FACILITIES: This is a decent but basic hotel so if you want a range of hotel facilities, then this is not for you. There is a rooftop balcony but we did not go up there (a shame as I believe it has good views of the Acropolis) but thats about it. A very small kiosk in the tiny square outside the hotel, called Salt N Sugar where we grabbed a coffee.

Sehr einfach ausgestattetes Zimmer. Bettgestell mit Matratze. Raum in Beton gehalten. Badezimmer ist ok. Wenig Licht. Unser Raum hatte zwar ein Fenster, allerdings kann man den Vorhang nicht offenlassen, da jeder andere Gast hineingucken kann. Kein Personal.

Although a distance of 10 minutes walk (when you know how) from the Acropolis Museum, it was well worth it. Note though that there is also a trolley bus in to Syntagma which runs tregularly during the day. A small boutique hotel. With friendly, polite and professional personal throughout the hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean. With fresh linen. You have a choice to have your room cleaned or not. of the 5 nights and 2 nights we stayed, even though every other day we requested fresh towels, we were given fresh towels and our bed was made everyday. The breakfast is basic, in that they do not provide a cooked breakfast, but the choice was good enough. Note this is a bed and breakfast hotel only.

The hotel is new, although it is a self-service apartment, there is also a front desk service on the first floor, modern decoration, password lock, TV, refrigerator, coffee machine, air conditioning, the key is to use it. We live in a quadruple room, in fact, there are two standard rooms, each with its own door, and there is also a public outing. The most interesting thing is that the usually charged drinks and snacks are all free here. I am so happy. You must know that a bottle of wine in the restaurant costs 10 euros! Anyway, I think it's good

Hotel location is good, see the Temple of Zeus, the front desk lady service is warm. We have a reasonable price upgrade to a large suite with a balcony with a kitchen sink and a separate hand washing bathroom. We bought a gift at the gift shop downstairs and also called the front desk into the room. The picture video was taken, but unfortunately transferred to the hard disk. We are two big and one small, the children live in the living room, the living room is very big. The layout is reasonable. Breakfast is delivered to the room, and the front desk downstairs is checked in advance.

The front desk and the cleaning aunt were very polite, but they seemed to lack some professionalism. The facilities that the hotel could provide were not clearly stated. Every time they needed to go to the front desk to ask. The room is large, but there are beds, wardrobes, TVs and TV cabinets, tables and chairs. It feels suitable to sleep overnight, but if it is a travel room, it is a little inconvenient, and it is not convenient to want to heat things. There is no hot water bottle. The decoration is still possible, and the bathroom has unlimited hot water. The front desk did not take the initiative to remind us of the breakfast time and place, resulting in us staying for four days without breakfast. Maybe I am used to the hotel taking the initiative to remind guests of the meal. This time, no one told us, resulting in us looking at the bill to find that our consumption included breakfast. All in all, it is a renovation, hotel location, and basic overnight environment All good hotels, but still a lot of shortcomings worth improving.

Great location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day. Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of €10 - not €8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also €50 (more than shown currently on website). Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a ‘suite’ suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a ‘space saver’ type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the ‘living room’. Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath. Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely. In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldn’t honestly say that it was bad, just ‘average’.

I booked this hotel because it was very close to the Acropolis. When I arrived, I found that it was indeed very close, and it only took five minutes to walk there. There is nothing much to say about the hotel itself. The service attitude was very good, the room was very clean, and slippers and toiletries were provided. The bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, and the countertops were all marble. The room was a bit small, but there was a balcony with a view of the Acropolis. There is a place to eat downstairs. If you walk towards the Acropolis, there is also a tourist street over there with more people and more lively. The sound insulation of the balcony windows and doors was okay. But what was unpleasant was that there were many people outside drinking, watching the game and singing that day, and they didn't leave until one o'clock in the middle of the night. I don't know if this is normal.

Reception was very friendly during check-in and staff for breakfast was very nice. The facilities were alright for us. I'm not sure if it was just our room or the entire building but there was this constant ”smoke” smell during our stay that was very difficult to ignore in our room. They did offer us to change a room but after walking around the floor and lobby, might of been just a smell that was throughout the building. There was a used orange drink in our fridge which could of been easily missed by the maids but was a little concerning what else might of been missed. Again all minor issues that would not stop me from staying there again if needed.

A new hotel in the heart of Kolonaki, Athens' well-to-do district, the Modernist is a great blend of amenities and service. The hotel opened the week I visited and I expected there to be a few kinks to work out, but there were none! Service is wonderful, staff proactively asked what we needed, from carafes of sparkling water that they brought to the room on request any time of day, to laundry and other things. They also were very keen to know how they were doing, considering they were new. Breakfast is delightful, with a a creative mix of traditional Greek things and other international food. COVID setup is hygienic and efficient. We had a large room, which is not particularly large but has spectacular balconies overlooking the park across the street and with views of Lycabettus Hill. Windows are isolated and do a good job of keeping out the Athenian noise. Finally, the upstairs roof deck is a real delight, quiet, private, with a fantastic view of the Acropolis, and with a telephone to order drinks from downstairs. It's like being at the Hilton Bar across the street, but not paying 20 euros for cocktails. All told, a great start and a wonderful find, I wish the staff all the best of luck!

We loved this hotel. It was our 8th hotel in our 5 week Europe trip and one of our favorites. Right close to everything yet just off the main area so it is very quiet at night. We absolutely loved the contactless check in and check out that enabled an easy ingression on a very late arrival. The place is in the city centre and is worth the price, do not expect big porch as its in the city centre, its in the by lanes and has small cafes and bars on your way. Would suggest this place for a budget but amazing stay. It is walkable to most of the historic sites, everything is in the vicinity of 3-4 kms Made me feel unsafe when i first seen trucks of riot police parked on the road outside with police on entrance to every lane… but then as days passed it was safe, you feel scared as there are by lanes which are dark and you need to pass through some junkies(they are in their own world) You could go book a ferry for santorini or go island hoping, HOP on HOP OFF buses,Toy Train city tour, There is Experience park free for all near Ellinikos also you have shore line and beaches.

This is an extremely nice hotel situated in a perfect location. Our stay and review are based on a Superior room You would be hard pressed to find an Athens hotel in a better location. You are right in the middle of all the action with shops and restaurants nearby. You are spoilt for choice. Although in a busy area we found the excellent double- glazed doors/windows kept any noises out and it was not an issue at all. Our Superior room came with a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities although that is not listed on their website. It may be worth e-mailing them if this is important to you. There was air-con but in March there was no need to make use of it so we cannot comment on its efficiency. The toilet/bathroom came with those tiny bottles of shampoo and body wash which we refuse to use on environmental grounds so we brought our own and used that. There was a sign saying that if the used towels were hung up then it was assumed that we were happy to reuse them. The cleaners replaced them daily regardless. The rooms were kept very clean. This hotel has much going for it. We grabbed a deal here at a very attractive price which included breakfast. The breakfast arrangements were in a fairly small area but we felt that a good selection was provided considering the space limitations. Plenty of fresh vegetable choices and delicious too. The Tomatoes and Cucumber just tasted so much better than we are used to. Cereals, bread, cakes, fruit and coffee from a machine. We looked forward to our breakfast every morning and didn’t grow tired of it. Minor gripes (being very picky). The over the bath shower was a mini battle in so much that it was prone to shoot water out onto the floor if you weren’t being careful. It could have been better but all we had to do was to adjust our showering habits and all was ok in the end. Our room had a balcony facing out to the street below. It would have been nice for a couple of chairs out there rather than just a large pot plant and the air-con unit for company. I did notice that no other balconies on other building had chairs out so perhaps that is just the Athens way. We had a Fridge in our room. Very welcome. A very close mini supermarket was the cheapest place we could find to buy water. E0.39 for 1.5 litres as I recall. We loved this hotel. All the staff were so nice and so helpful. I can’t remember all of their names but Irena and Eva come to mind. They helped make our stay wonderful. It had a curiously homely feel about the place. March time was a great time of the year as it was a pleasant day time temperature with it getting a bit chilly in the evenings. You could still dine outdoors but with a patio heater nearby. We loved Athens and have decided to return next March with the flights already booked. We will stay at the Plaka Hotel again. 5 stars from us

The hotel room is small, but the location is very good. It is near the Concorde Square, and it is very convenient to take the subway and bus. Especially, there is a swimming pool and viewing platform on the top floor of the hotel, and you can have a panoramic view of the Acropolis.

The room we stayed in was very large and beautiful. The staff was friendly and readily available around the clock. We stayed in a room with an acropolis view and it was nice to hang out on the balcony and look out after sunset. This hotel is very accessible to most things and the bus stop is right across the street in case you want to wander a little further. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby walking distance with late hours. There are a few major shopping streets right around the corner as well. I would definitely stay here again if traveling to Athens in the future.

This is the best hotel in Athens with a long history, splendid decoration and meticulous maintenance. The location is located in Syntagma Square in the center of the city. It is convenient to walk to various attractions in the city. The rooftop garden restaurant on the roof is the best place to enjoy the delicious food and beautiful scenery of the Acropolis. It's a pity that the room allocated to us just faces the Cigar Lounge downstairs, and the thick smoke smell has also soaked into the private bedding in the room over the years. We couldn't stand it. We called the front desk and only sent a lady to the scene , She returned as soon as she understood the situation. We waited quietly for no further information, and then called the front desk an hour later to ask for a room change. Then another person said why you didn't tell us, that person was just a cleaning lady. We really don't know who she is, we just know that she was sent to solve the problem, but after waiting for an hour, the front desk didn't send anyone again, so we had to contact Ctrip. Ten minutes later, the front desk called to agree to upgrade the room. In addition, the air in the new room with street view is fresh, but the sound insulation is not good, and the sound of cars is noisy all night.

Overall, a very good hotel choice in Athens, primarily due to its 2 block walking distance from the vibrant Adrianoy ***** and surrounding hubs to ruin sites and other pedestrian walkways. The hotel accommodation itself is acceptable and rooftop terrace nice for a view of the area during breakfast.

The hotel is in a perfect location! A few steps away from the Ermou shopping street, from Syntagma Square and also from Monastiraki Square it is only about 10 minutes. There are nice bars, restaurants and street food in the alleys around the hotel. We had a room at the back. Since there are two bars on the street with louder music, I think it's annoying there, even if the rooms are very well insulated. The reception staff are very nice and helpful The breakfast was better than expected. There was even fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, croissants and small Greek specialties such as cheese pies or spinach pies, feta and apple fritters. But above all, it is very clean everywhere! We'd love to come back!
