The location is very strategic in the middle of Medan city, so the favorite office guests who have staff level because the rate is in. What is surprising is the cooking, both dinner and breakfast. The menu is quite varied, but it tastes delicious. Two thumbs up for the chef of Grand Antares. The hotel's facility has been very long, it's time to change the wallpaper.

A lot of local students and everyone was really nice + the owner is available and helpful with everything and speaks good English ! Nice common area to hangout and the neighborhood is so cozy - small streets and shops warungs, friendly people everywhere and authentic feeling - no hassle no problems only smiles everywhere. Definitely recommend for people who want to see real life and culture. I was supposed to stay only one night but ended up staying 3. Don’t hesitate

|1.79km from downtownStaying for two nights in their most basic room. The moment i entered the room, i know this is such a good bargain and definitely best value for similar hotel at its level. Room was super clean, very well maintained, definitely 5 star level of maintenance. Its spacious and bed is super comfy (quite firm which i prefer), even bolster is provided! there is small fridge, safe deposit box, electronic water kettle with large mug and instant coffees / teas. The hotel doesn't provide daily bottled water, but instead, they provide water jug which i can always refill from dispenser right outside my room (room tips: choose any room with 07, the dispenser is right outside your door). There are lazy chair with small round table and ergonomic working chair by the desk. Aircon works very well to beat Medan heat. Overall, room is very spacious! Bathroom is also sparking clean, toilet is shining white and no sewage smell at all. its really that clean. kudos to the cleaning team. toiletries provided is basic. special mention to the wooden toothbrush and branded toothpaste. Bathtowel is huge and thick. Shower is very strong with very easy to adjust heating. i didn't opt in for breakfast, so can't review on that. Alternatively, Medan has plenty option for local breakfast. Although the hotel doesn't have fancy swimming pools or gym, but the cleanliness and quality of the room makes up. My only complain is the internet can get unstable / slow especially during the night. The receptionist refused to bring the food i order online upstair (while their cleaning staff said it was okay). One day i called and requested to get my room clean up when i grab breakfast outside, but when i returned the room is not yet cleaned, they said the room cleaning takes turn (i wasn't informed on this when i called). but overall, its really good hotel for the price. highly recommended

|0.29km from downtownHotel located at decent area, with food surrounding the area. Pros: 1. Great housekeeping and front desk team 2. Staff in this hotel is definitely the highlights 3. They provide WhatsApp number for any request 4. Newly renovated is decently furnished for the price Cons: 1. Shower pressure is extremely weak, and they can't increase it, no matter how you adjust it and even getting engineering to look into it. 2. Facilities is not renovated, i.e swimming pool area. 3. Other guest is a nightmare (part 1) they smoke at the swimming pool area, then proceed to throw cigarette butts and spit into the swimming pool. Treating it like their waste pool. Secondly guest is wearing their full clothing and jump into the swimming pool. What a joke.. 4. Other guest (part 2) inconsiderate guest who is extremely noisy, and kept moving furniture thru out the night 4am and morning 8am, not to mention, they smoke in the non smoking room and the smell gets thru my room, due to shared ventilation. 1mil rupiah fine is too little!! Some suggestions, have a exit direct to swimming pool, instead of going thru smoking room at level 2. Perhaps put non Indonesian couple on the same floor, instead of mixing them with other unruly guest. Have a guard to control people in swimming pool to ensure pool rules is enforced, knowing Indonesian guest have 0 education on following rules.

As a traveler from outside other city (i am from bali and here for Christmas) rent motorcycle as our transportation so best and cheapest, the parking area no safety. Because our rent motorcycle is moving from last night, and our helmet lost, with out that we are so struggle to moved the other place, like you know without helmet police will stop me. I am report this situation to staff parking, But there no apologies or other say sorry for this situation from the staff in charge or management, they just say ” Helm anda hilang bukan tanggung jawab kami ( your helmet lost is not our responsibility )”. We are stay 3 nights like strangers with out staff greetings or hospitality and the last night we are lost our helm and there are no solution and one more there no extra tissue ( face or toilet tissue ), coffee and tea sugar, mineral water ( amenities ) from the first day and when make up room they not changed it, we must say to reception just for this, as a hospitality industry we know room and service is the base product. I know this is new hotels, but without service guests don't want to come back again. Thank you And best regards.

It smells terrible, then I checked the bathroom to find the source, unfortunately they didn't clean it properly and because I smell pee, and it wasn't the source of smell I tried to find. I turn the sink on and there's some squirt from the pipe and it speayed right to me, not so much but it bothers for sure. There is only one power socket to charge your devices. Aircons in the corridor is colder than the room. The receptionists are not nice. The security looks like a thug. Far from town central. Luckily they have the supermarket to keep them alive.

Having seen from the outside some changes we decided to check out the Grand Inna Hotel, just for the fun of it. Walking in the hotel I noted the De Boer plaquette, which I appreciated. At first glance walking to the Reception nothing changed. A later closer inspection learned that the Karaoke Bar disappeared, the rooms in the back have been demolished and the swimming pool got a new location and the relocation of the restaurant. However, what really changed was the age of the staff, much much younger and everywhere very friendly and service oriented. This very well compensating for some issues which have been reported upon by other reviewers. A few remarks: Positive: The windows in our room could be opened The WIFI was perfect The Steamboat, quality/price wise, turned out much better than expected Location. A few steps away from Merdeka walk Breakfast suggestion: With minimum efforts the Continental Breakfast spread can be much improved. Start with a freshly baked crispy baquette, put in some good cheese and cold cut meat and possibly some beef bacon. Looking at the total package, cost and quality wise, I am happily giving the Grand Inna 5 stars.

|1.97km from downtownthe stay quite nice, washroom and hot water also work properly. fast wifi, and fast check in process. also love that they have massage spa inside the hotel with affordable price but as a malaysian , i would say, its quite cheap when they give you a discount voucher. if you dont really want to go out, you can order the room service food which also quite big in portion (for me) and the tempe goreng with the sambal sauce was so nice. In front of the hotel , got several private taxi service (suv car) with a range of price like 1 million IDR to Parapat(lake toba) & 700 thousand IDR to siantar.Just in case you had last minute plan to go to danau toba and didnt book any supir in advance
The only thing that i wish they change is the bath towel. Please change it to the new and softer one. all the thread is coming out from the towel.

|2.57km from downtownThis is a special homestay I stayed in Medan, because it is fully self-service, there is no staff, at least I haven't seen any since last night, but this does not affect our peace of mind at all.
The beds in the room are very clean, there are also charging sockets, and the security is also very guaranteed. You have to enter a password to enter the door. The shower and toilet are also very comfortable. There are messages from previous travelers on the wall of the front hall, and you can see that everyone praises it.

But there are a few regrets. All the beds on the first floor are a little wet, so I had to use a dry towel to pad them.
The stairs to the upper bunk are difficult to go up,
and there are no food and beverage stores or places to visit around!
Overall, I am 70% satisfied!
