|1.73km from downtownAfter a tiring search to locate a place to stay in Bologna that was convenient and close to the train station, we were lucky to find this gem that was a 10 minute walk to the train and about a 20 minute walk to the center. Alessandro was great in welcoming us after a 10 hour flight from the US and showed us to our spacious and comfortable room. The next morning Alessandro had an array of breakfast items ready for us in the kitchen room next door. This is was perfect stay in a quiet neighborhood away from the boisterous historic center. I would stay here again if I was in Bologna!

|6.65km from downtownI visited with my family for 1 night as a night stop. On arrival the area does not look particularly attractive & the outside of the hotel looks a little tired. But once inside the hotel is lovely & the staff very friendly & helpful. The rooms are large with air conditioning & very clean with lovely shabby shic furniture. There is a car park at the back of the hotel but it is a little small although we were able to park our cars in there. Breakfast was what you would expect of a continental. There is a very good Italian restaurant next door to the hotel which we used for dinner.

|3.74km from downtownThe B&B is not as described, we were taken in to the flat which has cctv in the communal areas and given a set of keys. The man who met us at the gate spoke no English so we did not understand him and as he left quite quickly he did not give us much information. The property did not feel particularly secure as we heard what sounded like someone trying to open doors in the flat multiple times. The “air conditioning” in the twin room is actually a medium sized fan perched on a chair. When looking in the mini fridge in the room there was an open and use bottle of water. The buffet breakfast was some stale package pastries left on the table with some dirty cups. We left after 2 nights and chose to stay somewhere else as we did not feel secure or comfortable there. I’m addition to our twin room there were 3 locked rooms and we were unsure if we were sharing with other people or not, and we were not comfortable leaving our valuables there as the front door did not lock properly. I would not recommend staying there.

|0.85km from downtownThis hostel gets a 5 out of 5 vote from me and you won't find anyone as fussy as me when it comes to hostel reviews. I don't understand the mixed reviews it has been given by people staying here at the same time as myself? The staff are very friendly and help you as much as possible.....a special shout out to Ciara who is very lovely. My room was very clean and my bunk had a charging point, night light and curtain. The only minor problem are the lockers are small and square so you can't really get anything in them - they need changing to bigger ones! The meeting area is just a ten foot square area next to the reception desk with only around six seating places and likewise the kitchen area is also small with a single long table for breakfast that can only seat around twelve people at any one time. The main reasons for this is the hostel is small overall and also only has three shower rooms with the toilets housed within these rooms. This can be very annoying because if you're dying to use the toilet and all three showers are being used, you cannot gain access. The breakfast is substantial as it's an all you can eat comprising of tea, coffee and orange juice. To eat you have fruits, yogurt, ham, salami, cheese and salad. For the English pallet you have different cereals, toast, cakes, biscuits and the use of butter, jam and chocolate spreads. There's also a coffee perculator which can be used at anytime during the day. Within the kitchen there's a large fridge to store your own personal food items if you wish. You are expected to wash up all your items after you finish which is no big deal but something I don't agree with on principle. I'm on holiday and I've paid for my B&B so I don't expect to do their job for them - maybe that's just me? The location of the hostel is very good and within easy reach of the main city centre and tourist attractions with various buses a two minute walk from the front door and the main railway station just a fifteen minute walk away

Bologna
|1.63km from downtownThe hotel has an okay value for money standard, staff is mostly helpful however the breakfast was a complete catastrophe! The breakfast is served from 7-10 am. We stayed two nights and first morning we arrived at the brekfast room at 9.15, the following morning at 9.20. The breakfast is advertised to include eggs, hams, cheese, bread etc and also sweet selections of foods. BUT at 9.15 am(!!!) there was almost NOTHING left! No eggs, no ham, literally two slices of one type of cheese and three slices of bread. There was no salty food to choose from, you only had the sweet variant like some cakes or croissants left. When I adressed the issue with the waiter he literally told me (no exaggeration here, these are his actual words) “We are finished!” and “you can have some bread!”in the rudest arrogant way possible and no one brought more any cheese or ham let alone eggs or sausages. Mind you it was 9.15!!! So I had one little croissant and ate properly elsewhere. The EXACT same thing happened the next morning. So apparantly breakfast means in this hotel that you only get it when you arrive at 7am because if you arrive 45 minutes before they close the breakfast room you can have coffee maybe some cakes or croissants...Or maybe it means that you can have breakfast you paid for as longe as other guests dont eat too much or too fast... I have never had this experience anywhere and the way staff approached this was offensive. Brekfast in this hotel is a joke, you should skip it and have it somewhere in some cute little café in the city. We booked the hotel because it was supposed to have a good breakfast according to ratings and reviews...totally ruined both of our mornings, every morning we left the hotel in a bad mood and I am for sure never returning to this place. On the positive note, apart from this breakfast fiasco, the staff was polite, spoke good English and were helpful (apart from the brekafast waiter), we had a minor problem with our toilet which was fixed immediately, so no complaint there. Bed are okay, street was not noisy. The location is average if you want to walk. It takes about 15 min to walk to the two towers, however that didnt bother us at all.

The hotel is some years old, the facilities are not new, the decoration is more classical, but the hotel facilities are quite complete, and the room is very clean. The room is large and comfortable, and it is economical in terms of price. It is still good.

|0.69km from downtownI had read disagreements about this hotel, but my experience was absolutely positive, starting with staff, with a wonderful gentleness and availability, all with a smile and ready to make the guest feel comfortable. They booked my taxi and kept my baggage after check-out. The simple, clean rooms with everything necessary for a pleasant stay. The room was very comfortable and the room was very clean and the room was very clean and the room was very clean and the room was very clean and the room was very clean and the room was very clean and the room was very clean. The position is really excellent. Finally, breakfast is sweet and salty: coffee and cappuccino (served directly by the staff), fruit juices for all tastes, yoghurt, cooked fats, marmelade, nutella, cakes, crustaceans, cornets of various kinds. As for salt, soda eggs, appetites, cheese ...many variety and abundance. It is really a great experience in this hotel, if I should go back to Bologna I will book from them again! 10 and praise.

The rooms are adequate and the breakfast was good and substantial. Ordered fresh coffee on tap. Be it espresso, latte, etc.

|0.5km from downtown We booked the hotel wg which is close to the student neighborhood. It is also walking away from the historic center, so optimal for beautiful dressing and restaurants as well as sightseeing. Nevertheless it is very quiet in the street. The price/performance ratio was correct. The room was OK, but above all very clean. The only “beauty error” is the dressing box, which was already very repairable. There was little room and the shafts need urgent renewal. The staff at the reception and breakfast area were very friendly. Equally in room service. Breakfast buffet was always filled and was appropriate. There is a small bar in the lobby. The hotel is recommendable. We would book it again.

|2.41km from downtownWe had the pleasure of staying for several nights at Elizabeth Lifestyle Hotel in Bologna. We very much enjoyed our stay and can recommend the hotel highly. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome and all of our needs were perfectly addressed. The room was modern, well-designed and comfortable. The breakfasts were generous and provided by kind and professional staff. We would like to make special mention of the lovely evening receptionist, Marta, who was especially attentive, warm and friendly. She went out of her way to assist us, including by finding dinner venues and places to visit in Bologna - all of which were only a short drive from the hotel. Her many kindnesses added to our enjoyment of our visit.

|1.12km from downtownThis is a personal opinion, the hotels location is great, just across the road from the Train station, several bus stops within walking distance and taxi rank just nearby. Overall it didn’t give me that 4 star hotel experience, I found the rooms and bathrooms outdated, the rooms could do with a refurb and better lighting and air system, could be a lot better. The areas I covered or seen are clean, staff are ok-ish except one of the receptionist (Giulia) she was brilliant and she took a request of mine at heart and delivered it as requested.

|6km from downtownOn first approach, it was clear to see that this hotel is quite far out from the city centre however explains why the prices are a lot cheaper. My partner and I stayed here in July 2022 for 4 nights and I must admit, we loved the room and overall feel of the hotel. Rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. We slept amazingly!! If it was just based on rooms alone, we would give this hotel five stars. However… We booked this hotel mainly because it had a pool. When we asked about the pool, we were informed we needed to book a 1 hour slot if we wanted to use it during that day. This was due to covid measures which were still in place at the hotel. So we did. Booked a 1 hour slot for the pool the following evening. When we arrived at the pool on the lower level, we noticed that the changing rooms were locked and the showers were turned off…due to Covid. Now I would typically understand some reasoning for certain covid rules but this just seemed ridiculous. A couple who were using the pool in the hour slot before us informed us to use the small shower cubicle to get changed as this had a frosted glass door on it and is the only bit of privacy you get down there. So we did! We ended up booking the pool out another two times on our stay but as reception advised following our first pool visit, get changed in your rooms then head down to the pool (assuming you don’t need to get the key from reception to unlock the pool). Towels were provided by poolside although on the first day, there was only one towel left for the two of us. On my final visit to the pool on the morning before we left, I had to go to reception in my swimming trunks because the pool was locked. Something I felt uncomfortable doing in the first place but as there was no changing facilities and the towels were locked by poolside, I reluctantly went to reception where the man behind the desk got angry at me being there in my swimming trunks. Simple solution would be to open up the changing facilities down by poolside to prevent this but hey, that was too obvious. Upon pointing out the fact that the changing facilities in his hotel were locked because they won’t open them due to Covid (which he should have known), he eventually calmed down and mentioned he understood. On our visit we also used the electric bikes which were at reception for a full day at the cost of €25 per bike per day. The system is far to complicated for what it needs to be and should be made simpler by just having reception deal with the booking. Once eventually booked, we were given the keys to the 2 bike locks, helmets and some netting for our hair (another odd covid measure which doesn’t make much sense as you will sweat through the netting anyway). As I was away to take the bikes out, I noticed that all four tyres were flat. Surely this should be inspected by the staff before the bikes are taken out?! Unfortunately staff appeared clueless on what PSI the tires had to be at and as he pumped up the first

|0.69km from downtownWe really liked this hotel despite having got off to a poor start. The little lobby is nice with the cute staircase, despite the initial shabby street entrance. When we returned to room later at night, as we just put our stuff in the afternoon and left to explore the town we found just one chair and no suitcase holder. Having just come from Florence where there were two of everything I called reception. No answer. Ultimately I went down and asked the man at the front desk for the missing stuff. He banged on about the room being basic and that a double room is only space for 2 on the bed, one chair, no suitcase holder for any one as is the case anywhere else (according to him)!!!! The second time I came to ask for a chair as he would not respond to the phone, and again I had to call out for service. I heard him grumble and groan at being called. Again a banging on about the basic room. It's purported to be a four star so I was flummoxed but did not back down. I have some travel experience in my life. I got the stuff despite that unnecessary feeble exchange which I did not get the point of as from his attitude I had expected a real fight and was ready to leave the hotel. Thereafter I am happy to say it was smooth sailing and no further hitches. We were so happy to discover later that the others at the front desk were wonderful, as was the receptionist who checked us in before the unfortunate encounter. The breakfast room is lovely and airy. A few plants and flowers would make it perfect. Breakfast was pretty good and the service was absolutely smashing. The location is superb. Wonderful restaurants at hand, walking distance to the centre and everywhere good really. I guess they could do something to improve the street entrance (before one reached the sliding doors) as it looks pretty slummy and gives the wrong impression. Overall, great hotel, highly recommended. I do not let little incidents cloud my view.

|3.89km from downtownFor his category it was just good, I was expecting something much better, a large room, a park bed for a baby with extra bed, a rest bed and pillows and clean. Unfortunately, the washing machine was shut ... The breakfast was relatively poor for the hotel category and not something special. As far as the location is concerned, it's not in the center but it has a bus stop outside which is very convenient because Bologna is a very good bus network, and I wouldn't suggest it as a good choice when you have a cart child. As regards staff, he spoke English but basics, and we could not easily understand by asking for information on activities (which is unfortunately true throughout Italy).

|2.16km from downtownThe hotel is about 5-6kms from the airport, very clean and comfortable and quiet and the staff are very polite and helpful. The wallpaper needs replacing but bedding is recent and plentiful. Heating was set too hight but can be changed and my window opened so a non issue. Hotel is about 20-30 mins walk from the centre of the city. If you don't want to use public transport it is an easy and not unpleasant walk (over the river there is a market a lovely park and markets) and although the hotel is getting into a more residential and working area, felt safe and easy. There are some bakeries, cafes and bars in easy walking distance too. With its bonus of car parking it would be perfect for a driving holiday keeping you out of the crazy traffic of the centre of town. I flew into Bologna from Australia and it was a perfect place to rest before travels.

|1.17km from downtownWe have booked this place through their website and we were satisfied from the general information that we got online. To be honest it was in a very good locations. Arriving at the property we noticed that there were construction works ongoing !!! Early in the morning the noise was very loud and it was impossible to sleep. Imagine a family with 2 young children that has to wake up from that noise. The second and the biggest delusion was the apartment itself. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A PLACE SO DIRTY! The floor was so dirty like it has months without washing. Tested with a paper tissue… it become brown dark, disgusting. The beds were arranged with some old sheets and a couple of duvet (smelly) that was hard to sleep. Very old towels, from white they were close to grey, and with an unpleasant smell. The apartment itself was very old in furniture and equipment. Not mentioning that there was zero acoustic isolation. You can feel the next door apartment chats like they were in your room, and the road noise was crazy if your apartment with face the road. Very poor experience

|0.4km from downtownNice modern hotel, in the middle of the old town half a block off of Via dell'Indipendenza..so you are close to everything. As it’s a modern hotel, it has all the appointments with a good size desk, plenty of outlets, comfortable bed, large bathroom etc. Yes the plastic furniture is a bit much, and some is not really functional, but its still a great room, location, and service. Our room was very large with a balcony. Bed was comfortable, service was superb, and wifi was fine. I had a big birthday while I was there and my sons called the hotel from the US to arrange for a birthday cake and note to be delivered to our room. We got back to our room before dinner and there was this lovely decorated cake, display, note, big candle etc. The hotel did a great job and clearly went out of their way to make this happen. BRAVO! There was no parking at the hotel, but there is a garage just around the block that they have an arrangement with. Just reserve ahead with the hotel. The photos on the hotel website are indicative of the rooms and hotel A couple suggestions to those staying at the hotel: 1. dropping off your luggage - - the street the hotel is on is a very narrow street blocked at one end where you would walk on to Via dell'Indipendenza. In driving to the hotel to drop our bags off google maps had me turning right on to their street, Via dell’ Orso, from Viccola Quartirolo…do not do that. you are not supposed to drive there, plus its a one way (left only) and its very hard to make the right turn anyway given the narrow street and restaurant on the corner. The restaurant people told us to back up back on to Viccola Quartirolo…. Then make a left and then back up down the street to the hotel. When it was time to leave, we rolled our bags down to where the restaurant was and then I went and got the car and stopped right there when I made the left turn . 2. room darkening - the first night at the hotel I did not see any shades to stop the light coming in from the balcony. The next morning I realized there were shutter doors to close on the balacony …which I did not notice at night. Overall, between the location, service, and accommodations, I would highly recommend staying at the hotel.
