The landlord speaks Chinese and is really polite. If you have any questions, she will help you solve them as soon as possible. My sister and I traveled to Korea for the first time as a family of four. They stayed in a family room, and my girlfriend and I stayed in a double room. When we got to the subway, we took a seven-seater car. The room was also very clean and comfortable. On my last day, I had a flight at night, and the host was very considerate and offered to carry my luggage to the subway exit, so that I could save some time on the road. I was really touched!

The location is a little bit off, we need to climb uphill. Our luggage is too heavy. The boss came and picked us up after calling. Haha. It’s so good. When we arrived at noon, the room was cold. The boss said that he would open the floor heating at night. There was breakfast in the refrigerator. Very very clean and the owner is very nice and fun to recommend!

Actually me and my friends stayed in April 2018. The guesthouse was very clean and gave a welcoming feeling. Although located in Hongdae(but nearer to sangsu station), somehow it wasn’t loud and were able to get a good night’s sleep. Plenty of restaurants and food joints around that open till late night so you don’t have to worry about going hungry in the middle of the night. Adequate amount of bathrooms available on both floors. There are both unisex and women’s bathroom. So ladies who don’t mind staying in a co-ed guesthouse but aren’t fond of the idea of sharing bathroom with the opposite sex, this is the guesthouse for you. Spacious dining area with wall-mounted TV where you can watch youtube videos on. Clean kitchen with breakfast provided. You can cook your own meals too. Water dispenser and fridge available on the top floor so those staying upstairs don’t have to go down just to get food/drinks. Washing machine(no dryer) available for use. Clean towels provided daily. Staffs were very friendly and accomodating. Definitely a place me and my friends will book again.

Youth hostel-style hotel with bed options, suitable for young people. The bosses rest early, and if you arrive late, you will check your email or ins/Facebook for self-check-in information. Korean/English communication~ Microwave and refrigerator, bathroom and bathroom are shared, but men and women are separated, it is very clean and safe to use, but remember to bring your own converter (the only USB interface is on the table in the public area) and toothbrush sets, no smoking indoors The welcome card in the room is very kind, and the check-in experience is very casual. It is near Hongdae, with convenient transportation and free shopping and eating

I stayed in the Bunk Guest House for a few days and I had an amazing time. The hostel was clean, perfect location, great vibe, lovely outside area for relaxing, extremely safe, comfortable beds and on top of all that, Brian was an incredible host. He was extremely helpful with tours and general advice. He even taught us how to make a soju bomb and which is a recipe for disaster! He really made everyone feel welcome. I cannot recommend the Bunk Guesthouse house enough. Also, free breakfast!

After 4 flights of very steep stairs, i was shown old bunkbeds with uncomfortable matresses. My bed had the a/c unit right over my head, buzzing and prepping me for pneumonia. I asked if I could change to the empty bunk, but was told I had to check with a guest who hadn't checked in yet, instead of taking some ownership of actually managing a hostel. Breakfast is only from 9 till 10.30am!! Most of the world already has half a day done by that time. It is run by a young french couple and unfortunately they confirm the stereotype of a being a bit stuck up. I did not feel welcome, nor comfortable here. Do yourself a favour and

Mesmerizing experience!! I loved this place so much! I stayed here for 1 week on the 15th floor with city view. View was great, room was good and spacious enough for two. Everyday we would come back to a clean room and fresh towels. I loved it so much. Id definitely come back here. In fact I already miss this place!! Loved it 🙌❤️ Their buffet breakfast was ok - when my sister and I went for it their fried rice was spoiled. Otherwise i enjoyed their cereals, juice, and toast.

There are subway lines 2 and 9 within ten minutes of the hotel. The location is quite convenient. However, the lights in the room are very dark, and the hotel has access control. The door is locked from 1 to 6 in the morning, and the staff on duty also sleep secretly, which is harmful to safety. If you ask, please think again before booking a room.

Hostel is brilliantly located about 5 minutes walk to Myeongdong. Bus stop to catch the airport bus is also 5 minutes away. Hostel itself is up a sloping street (“cartoon street”) which has convenience stores, restaurants (including a 24 hour one!) and shops. Very convenient. Despite this, street is quiet; we had no problems with noise. The hostel is about 5 stories tall which includes the rooftop sitting area. Note no lift. Simple breakfast of toast and cereal available every morning in the kitchen on the (I think) 3rd floor or in the little reception area. Coffee and juice available too. Note no tea (bring your own!). Our family of 4 took 2 rooms across the corridor from each other. Rooms are small, simply furnished but comfortable and clean. Heated floors were a bonus! Each room comes with a little fridge. En-suite bathroom was clean. Rooms come with small hand towels; proper bath towels are available with a small deposit. Laundry service is also available for a reasonable fee. Staff were generally friendly and accommodating. There is a little welcome pack of treats when you arrive and a “goodbye” bag when you leave. A nice touch. Note there is a surcharge for using your credit card. All in all, a comfortable and clean place to stay in a great location and at a reasonable price.

The place was easily accessible via train, just a short walk from Samgakji station (exit 1 or 13). It's also close to the airport bus stop that takes you directly to Incheon Airport - very convenient. It also has a nearby convenience store, and is surrounded by a lot of restaurants and cafes so you won't have to worry about where to get lunch or breakfast. Most of the guests I've met there are quite friendly and will give you tips on what to do if it's your first time in the city. They also have a kitchen in the 3rd floor so you can cook your own meals if you feel like it. We sadly didn't get a chance to see the rooftop and the upper floors because we were so tired by the time we returned. The main floor of the guesthouse is on the 2nd floor, including the reception desk, and you have to climb a steep set of stairs to get there which proved quite challenging when most of their guests are carrying huge luggages - no handrails btw, so you have to be careful. I was carrying a collective weight of 20kgs when I first arrived and had to get help from Johnny as it was impossible for me to do it myself. With its popularity among travelers comes the obvious problem of it being fully packed with people, which can get chaotic when everybody wants to use the showers at once. The place is a little small and there wasn't a lot of room to move around in once all the guests arrive and are buzzing about.

The hostel is located at the right place. On arrival, I was asked how many toothbrushes I needed, and given towels according to what my answer was. Can't we get such necessities in the room?If we don't them, we will leave them. The fridge was empty with no water even, too bad. The counter is always empty with no immediate assistance. We called and asked for an iron and they do not have it. Self-service breakfast, not bad if you are not lazy or late for checkout.

Dormyinn in Gangnam is a 5 star hotel for business travelers. It is not hotel for events or leisure, but it can be a hotel for a weekend-spa-cation. I've traveled to Seoul a dozen times or so for work and play. Many of these trips were long 2 week to 2 month trips. And I've stayed at upwards of 30 hotels in Seoul. I've gone back to Dormyinn in Yeoksam, Gangnam-gu I think six times. It it my favourite hotel in Seoul when I'm staying alone. I've stayed at a couple Dormyinns in Japan too. The chain is one of my favourite for business travel. I think it should be good for solo travelers and couples too as I see many other guests of these types too. The breakfast is a Japanese business style buffet with a Korean twist. The spa and sauna is quiet and private. The hotel has its own soaps and provides washcloths. There are smoking corners and ergonomic pillows. The front desk are multilingual and wear buttons showing the languages they speak. The hotel also serves late night ramen. The a**osphere is quiet and private just like the spa and the restaurant staff especially show excellent hospitality. There is no business facilities at this Dormyinn except for a public computer and printer. The laundry services are efficient and relative the Shilla cheap. What's most important is the consietency of all the services, even the food and rooms. The hotel is located a 4 minute walk from two metro stations right in the center of Gangnam. There is a food street less than one minute walk away and more within 5 minutes walk. There is a gallery one block away. There are upscale restaurants as well as very local restaurants around the corner. It's a quiet hotel in a very lively area.

The room is pretty good, suitable for one person, but may feel a bit cramped for two people. There is a large floor-to-ceiling window that can directly see the street view outside. The air conditioner temperature can be adjusted by yourself, and the bath water always has hot water. The bathroom and toilet are all made of transparent glass, so it is more suitable for one person to stay there. There is no socket beside the bed, only behind the TV. I stayed here for 8 days. The reception staff were helpful and polite when we checked in, the lift's very fast. The room appeared clean and had good amenities, 2 bottles of water in the fridge, coffee machine, large bed, we loved the TV above the bath, kido loved the heated toilet. It looks clean, clean bed sheets, then I slide the bathroom door closed and it's pretty dusty. No problem, I grab a tissue and wipe it down, I have a dust allergy. We lost something in between getting out of the cab and sitting down in the room so I try to find it, I look under the bed, it's really dusty and also has rubbish from previous occupants. We could hear the traffic outside but it's a busy road and it's understandable, we didn't find it annoying. There are strict check in and check out times and they won't charge you extra if you stick to these, they need time to clean the room and get it ready (they do need to slide the bathroom doors and clean these though, and under the beds too). I had a shower the next day, the waterfall shower's not easy to use and there's no instructions, but there's a handheld shower head attached to the wall. Great, I thought, that will help, It would have helped, but there's no seal around the bottom of the shower door and there's a gap, and the shower head faced the shower door. 30 minutes later I magage to clean the large amount of water in the bathroom and around the toilet up using towels, and I pop downstairs to let them know there's a problem with their shower. They sent someone up right away, I explained the issue, the shower door is missing a seal, he says 'I can't sort that' and walks out. No more showers then. We get back from a walk at around 8pm, and there's a very high pitched whistle coming from the ceiling in our room. I check the lights, the air conditioning and it whistles for about 30 minutes so I pop to the reception desk and let them know. Someone comes up right away and lets us know it's a valve in the bathroom ceiling, there's a hatch, he opens it up, and it stops. Yay! 5 minutes later... yup, it's back. He comes back and adjusts the valve once again. It stops. 5 minutes later... yup. Then it stops. Until the following evening. I let reception know it's still happening, they send someone out, again, it stops, again, and starts, again a few minutes later. It stops and starts throughout the night, midnight, 1am, 4am, 9am. We're tired, I'm rather grumpy, so we ask to change rooms so we can sleep. They check with the manager and give us another room. The new room has a seal at the bottom of the shower, unfortunately their water fall shower lasts for 1 second if you try to use it as the handle on the door self adjusts. There's still dust on the sliding doors and under the bed. We're exhausted having had a pretty bad night due to the alarm, so we sleep, a lot. We didn't eat in the hotel, it's expensive, there's a little French baguette place not too far away and a Starbucks so we're sorted. The Nespresso only ha

There are also bed sheets and quilts that have a strong smell (maybe only the sheets and sheets have been changed, and the quilts have not been washed) There is a problem with the lock of the window and it cannot be locked. The transparent curtain is broken, and it will be like that when it is pulled down. The washbasin in the bathroom is not connected to the water to pour it directly out of the bathroom. Check-in was speedy - if you have bought breakfast then need to remember to collect the breakfast coupons. There is a mini vending station next to laundry and also a FX machines (passport required) which is useful. The breakfast selection is limited so you may want to explore other cafes around the corner (e.g. Levain Rules, Ronnefeldt, etc). The room is basic and functional. The view overlooking the Seolleong tomb/park is nice, especially if you've requested a high floor. Overall it's a good value for money and given the budget would definitely consider again. Pro Tip: though there is 7-11 in the basement and GS25 around the corner, the un-named 24hr convenience store at the back of the hotel has more fruits (e.g. grapes and oranges) than typical 7-11/CU/GS25.

It's quite strategic and walking distance to the famous culinary and shopping center in Myeodong. A clean little hotel and one room can make 4 people (choose 4 people) at a very affordable price (it costs 1 jt per night). In the hotel building there is a 24-hour mini market and surrounded by many restaurants and easy to ride public vehicles such as buses and subway (subway). The room is not too big with a window to view the street. Small hotel towels size like hand towels (Korean hotel cotton). Bathroom showers are available with shampo and liquid soap. There is a water heater for coffee/tea, a small refrigerator, hair dyer, a small flat TV with many channels of Korean station, a medium size mineral water 4 bottles. Small hotel lobby goes up to the 4th floor. Just for sleeping and rest ok.

Hotel was 5mins walk from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Exit 12. You can use the lift at Exit 12 (first photo), to/from Level B2 & 1 as the 4 escalators leading up to street level do not work. The room has everything you need, it’s very clean and new (beds and pillows were good >> didn’t give any backache 😂), with a very convenient water and ice dispenser in the walkway. On top of that, the room has free 2 bottles of mineral water everyday. There are many convenient stores around the hotel. You can have your tax refund done at DOOTA Mall near the hotel so you don’t have to queue at the airport to get your $ back before your departure. Myeongdong Street (at Lotte Young Plaza stop) was also about 10 mins bus ride to the hotel with 5 buses running on the same route. Would recommend staying at this hotel again! The locker for luggage storage (last photo - it fits a L size luggage) was really an advantage - you could dump your luggage before and after your check-in! Finally, airport bus 6001 to the airport is right outside the hotel - prepare 2 hours journey for road traffic conditions near Seoul station enroute to airport.
