The proprietress is very good. We arrived at the Shuishe very late, so there was no car or boat to Idaho. The proprietress said that the old public car would pick us up, but in the end, we took a taxi to Taiwan dollars 500 and we didn't bother the boss. When checking in, the proprietress will ask us what plan to go to play, and teach us how to go. We borrowed our umbrellas for a few days in the rain. There are toast omelets for breakfast and fresh fruit bowls for drinks. It is also delivered to the room. It is a surprise. The location of the homestay is convenient, just behind the Idaho Food Street, near the pier, and convenient to walk to the Sun Moon Lake cable car. The room was large. We lived on the 2nd floor. Although there was no elevator, the stairs were very wide and clean. The room was wide and it was not a problem to put a few large suitcases. Although there was no view on the balcony, you could breathe 🤫. There was a wardrobe hanger and a small table and chair for easy take-out. The wind of the hair dryer is big enough to use, the TV is big enough, the bathroom is also very big and clean, the decoration is the family-style of the homestay, there can be no too much requirements, but it can be seen that the proprietress pays great attention to cleaning, they are very clean, there is a disinfected smell but not very strong. The washbasin is a bit shallow, the water is too sprayed out, acceptable, and basic toiletries are provided. The biggest drawback for me is that the bed is hard and the pillow is soft. I pay attention to the bed and have to be soft to sleep well. What can be improved is that it would be better if the slippers can be a little bigger and better quality, otherwise it is easy to wear. The good thing is that the hotel is strategically located right by the lake on the edge of the village. There is a floating dock with a location on it, where you can enjoy the view while drinking. It is a five-minute walk from the shops, restaurants and other living facilities in Yuchi Township. The hotel looks very beautiful, made of wood, the walls and ceilings of the room are also made of wood, there is a very warm and attractive feeling. Free wireless Internet is available. On the poor side, our room was obviously dirty. Several obvious spots on the beige carpet had a few large, uncomfortable-looking stains. There was a used wet towel on the floor of the shower room, which indicated that the cleanliness of the room and the level of preparation of the room were not high. We weren’t surprised to be staying in room 303 because we stayed for one night and didn’t expect the best room they could give us. The good side of the room is that the lake view is very beautiful (not all rooms can see the lake view), the bad room is that the room is just next to the lobby, so it is very noisy. The front desk kept music and heard it clearly in the room (I think there was a loudspeaker on one wall in the room). After a few hours I told the front desk staff if they would mind turning the volume down a little bit, and they agreed. We could hear it though the business wasn't that loud. Another group gathered in the lobby before setting off, and the noise of their talking and laughing was loud in the room. So if you are staying at this hotel, I suggest you want a room a little further from the front desk. There is an indoor pool downstairs which is great if the water is warm. The water in the same jacuzzi is also very cold. This time of year this place is quite cold, especially at night, so it would be great if you could swim or soak in warm water. We didn't see a person swimming when we lived there. Now talk about breakfast: breakfast should have been from 7 to 9:30. We arrived at the restaurant at 9 o'clock and saw a smileless lady. She took our breakfast coupon and didn't say a word, and then we were the air. There was another employee at that time. A young male waiter. There were a lot of empty tables, but the tableware was not set. After a while we found that we had to do it ourselves, we looked around and found some tableware mats and knives and forks and arranged the table ourselves. Then we went to get something to eat. Although they are still half an hour away from their service, it is obvious that they will not add anything more, and now how much is how much. Because of this, we have to eat several times, like fresh fruit, juice and scrambled eggs. I walked towards the two employees, who were at a table in the corner, far from the guests, and I asked if they would add more to their meal. The lady was still indifferent, and the male waiter looked blank. I motioned for him to come with me, led him to the food table, showed him the juice maker and scrambled egg plates were empty. He nodded, then disappeared into the kitchen, and after a while he brought a glass of juice over, which I drank with my wife. Five minutes later he brought us an egg for two of us to eat. At 9:25, the lady frowned as we left. The male waiter was invisible. When you are looking forward to the general breakfast experience at a Taiwanese hotel - friendly welcome, lead you to the table, ask if you want coffee, thoughtful service, thank you when you leave, etc. - then Sun Moon Lake Lushan Forest International Hall is really funny compared to that. My wife and I have been constantly feeling the friendship and enthusiasm of the Taiwanese people during our two-week trip to Taiwan, and we are impressed and happy with this, so we will not be less impressed by Taiwan because of this unpleasant experience. However, if you want to feel the hospitality of Taiwan, I suggest you try other hotels. (Fortunately, we didn't have dinner in the hotel restaurant before, otherwise we would be disappointed twice. We went to the Regal Resort B&B 50 yards away and had a very interesting and enjoyable dinner in a garden lit by candles. The place also has guest rooms, full of artwork and tourist souvenirs. This one might also be a good choice in the area.)

Already lived for the second time! I really like the enthusiasm of the owner and staff of the hotel without disturbing the passengers. The rich breakfast is handmade. If you don’t eat enough, you can renew it for free (non-staple food). There is a dedicated parking lot that can be parked until the next morning (actually based on the store announcement). Although the room does not have a bathtub, But the hot water is hot enough, there is heating in the house, and it feels a bit hot. I went to the surrounding night market to buy it back and eat at night, I really enjoyed 😎

Visited sun moon lake and held a small bday party in the room. Spacious room for balloons! The room still has plenty spaces even with two of my 1.5m number balloons. Balcony is perfect for Instagram shots, better use flashlight or else the background is lighter than your face. When we visited in December, there weren't much rain so a part of the lake close to the hotel is just muddy and brown, so just adjust the camera angle and your picture will still look nice. Close to the harbour, convenience stores, and the souvenir street. It has a huge parking lot 3 min away from the hotel, rmb to bring an umbrella in case it pours mid way. Elevators large enough to fit in a family of five with suitcases. The staff was nice and check us in efficiently. Tea and snacks are provided, and rooms are clean. They locate my granny's room next to us - really appreciate this. Overall, 10 out of 10. I'll definitely stay here next time I visit Taiwan. Btw I visited back in 2020/12 not 2021/12, trip advisor didn't provide me the option to choose 2020.

Very pretty villa! Was a bit of a walk from the nearest bus stop as it is quite deep in, but the views from the villa were terrific. At night the host conducted a brief lesson about the stars in the sky and taught us how to see the Big Dipper and the North Star. Very beautiful! We were lucky that we stayed 2 nights as the first night the sky was too cloudy so there were no stars to be seen. Managed to spot them on our second night there.

Have been to this property and it was an amazing stay for one night. Hotel looks are like European cottages made of wood. Rooms are also nice. Location is just 2 min walk to Swiss garden and really convenient as there is a 7eleven around and also shuttle bus stop. Cleanliness: Hotel rooms and the whole place is quite neet and clean. Service: Awesome, staff was really helpful with everything and they even allow us early checkin which was much appreciated as we were travelling with a 2 year old. Food: Nice breakfast and they even cooked some vegetarian food for lunch. Have happy hour where serve tea and snacks which will be enough for dinner. Overall this property is owned by The Old England Manor which is another best hotels in town and they maintain the same service here as well. This should be a 4 star hotel instead of 3 star.
