The room was clean, the beds were comfy, the toilet was clean too. Please bear in mind that this is not a 5 or 4 star hotel. It's good value for money as it was a very short walk from Zing Hotel to Central Market and Cafe Malaya etc. Daytime, we asked the goldsmith shop nearby the hotel, to point us in the direction of the Riverside, and we walked all the way to the Riverside. It was a less than one kilometre leisurely walk for us to reach Riverside. And we got to see Phnom Penh daily life along the way. There's even a convenience store right next door where we bought our instant noodles, hot coffee and chips etc. The reception also has a small kitchen with seating right next to it, serving hot meals. The front office, kitchen and housekeeping staff were cheerful and pleasant with us. Housekeeping cleaned our rooms daily. We used the Grab app to order rickshaws and cars to pick us and drop us back at the hotel doorstep. Cheap using Grab. Do be careful at night though, don't walk around the area at night alone or even with friends. Just use Grab or Pass app to order rickshaws to get around and you'll be fine.

Upon reaching the hotel, I was not pleased with the outside and the lobby was not what I had been hoping for. However, after I took the lift to my floor and stepped out, I was pleasantly surprised. It was very well renovated and the room was surprisingly clean and felt like it was more than what I had paid for. Definitely value for money. The breakfast was decent but of course not as same as those lavished 5 stars international hotels For the price that I have paid, I have nothing to complain about. The staffs could speak English and Mandarin so that made the communication much easier. Distance to the airport is about 10km. I will stay there again if I need to visit Cambodia next time.

I don't usually write any reviews, but for the sake of the next victims, I feel the needs to do so. Here is my recommendation - avoid this hotel at all costs. I have been staying at a lot of hotels over the years so I know what an acceptable hotel should be like. I had no choice but to stay at this hotel because of the government's quarantine requirement when entering the country. In addition to making me pay extra for no reason but to scam me (i,e they purposely didn't tell me to check out on time at 12pm even though I was allowed out way before that, they made sure that I stayed pass 12pm and citing that it was 1pm I must pay extra, they were holding my passport at the time so I had no choice) Now let's get to the horrible services that they provided. The two weeks of staying at that hotel proved that the services are helpless. I had requested a no interruption daily but the result were ”interruptions” daily. So my sleeping quality was awful. The bed sheet was itchy, the washroom was extremely gross, the room was small, the AC remote doesn't work, the room supplies were next nothing, no daily coffee or tea. Furthermore, I had to call for toilet paper, napkin, towel daily as well. Apparently, the instruction of ”please refill my basic supplies daily” didn't click. If you have the money to spend, this should be the last choice when there is no more hotel available in the entire city. I won't go back even if I was asked to stay for free. Incredibly horrible, please avoid!

It seemed like the reservation wasn't made properly, but they prepared a room for me. When I went into my room and tried to open my suitcase, the suitcase lock wouldn't open, so I went to the lobby to ask for help because there was nothing I could do. Thank you for your help 👴🪛 Even when I didn't know how to lock my room, she came to my room and taught me. thank you very much. When I went to have breakfast the next day, she smiled and said good morning, which made me happy. Breakfast was delicious 😊 I took a lot of care of them, and they were great staff!

We checked in 30/03/23 to find no water from the shower, wash basin and toilet. Complained twice and was told that it was being looked at. At that point they could have changed our room but didn't. We went out for dinner and some hours later found that the water was back on but would not get hot. Complained and was told it would be looked at in the morning. In the morning awoke to find no hot water still. Complained by phone to reception and was told that this happens often and the water off situation is a problem throughout Phnom Penh. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I asked to change room and she said it would make no difference. I said that's unacceptable and she hung up the line. In addition, the room key slot on the wall was loose and I could easily touch the internal wiring. The room telephone would unplug itself from the phone line if I just moved it an inch. The mixer tap handle came off in my hands quite easily. I made a new booking at another nearby hotel and walked out. Trip.com customer services were very sympathetic and responsive and refunded my unused days within the hour (almost).

We had a few days in Phnom Penh then went to Vietnam and came back to Phnom Penh for another 4 nights and this is where we booked in. It is in a great position right in the middle of town hence we could nearly walk anywhere we wanted. Fantastic value for money including breakfast. The breakfast is very decent and it is a la carte.....with things like eggs bene, pancakes, asian breakfasts and you also get coffee, tea and juice. The room itself was very clean and the bed super comfortable. The previous place we had stayed the bed was hard as a rock. The rooms are decorated very nicely and the bathrooms are good too. You have dressing gowns etc, shampoo and soaps, fridge in the room, tissues and we had a balcony (not sure if all rooms have a balcony). The staff were always very helpful and super friendly. There is a small pool on the rooftop near the restaurant. There are only 4-5 lounge chairs but we always were able to get one when we wanted. It was never that crowded I guess because a lot of people are out and about during the day but it was so refreshing to have a pool when you came back from a day out sightseeing. There is also a coffee shop on the ground floor which is great just to grab a coffee when needed. We loved our stay at Lavanya Boutique Hotel and would not hesitate to recommend.

Good location, clean and safe to visit. Many good restaurants nearby, although mostly Cambodian ... The staff is friendly and polite. I have only one complaint, when I was sitting down to eat coffee at the bottom, the staff was not busy, just dialed the phone until I called, then they came to ask me if I want to order hahaha ..... Breakfast is good because buffet I like it, only for the chef when making noodles soup there is no food standard and the preparation is not suitable for the chef but can teach him to explain the preparation and surprisingly what is definitely a hotel that There are so many business people and so many foreigners. It's not a big deal, but it can really be in different circumstances. The hotel facilities are of a high standard, the restaurant is good and the reception staff is Good. The decoration was nice but the cleaning was not so nice and the staff was annoying but this is a hotel I understand I talked to the manager and he corrected me Thank you Virak Thit. I will be back again next year hope I can say WOW .......

Good English, patient and professional, very proactive service, see me With my parents, let me check in in advance and help me confirm the pick up of the next day with the bus company, which is very considerate. The service in this home is really willing to choose again. The only problem is that the facilities are a bit old and the bathroom is slow to drain.

Hotel was near the main airport which was what we were looking for. The reception staff was efficient, friendly and got us to our room quickly. We had the best lunch at CCC and loved the extensive grounds and large pool. Room was clean, spacious, good bed, good air con for the price. Shower room was a little dated but ok. We were given a packed breakfast as we had an early start the next day. We would stay there again.

The rooms are superb and the rooftop swimming pool. The breakfast is offered à la carte and varied. The kindness of the staff matches the level of this hotel which, despite its standing, is rather uncrowded. The central market is 700 m away and an army of tuc tucs waits in front of the entrance for all trips, although Grab is cheaper and does the same.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for four nights, the room was clean and staff were very friendly. There was a fridge in the room, wifi throughout, pool on the top deck and a nice little balcony where you can smoke. Also really comfy pillows which is always a bonus when you've been staying in budget places for a while and haven't had comfort. Not a bad location and tuk tuks are waiting outside to take you where you want to go for cheap prices. Reception is manned 24/7 which is also nice to have in case of any problems. They have stopped providing breakfast ever since covid which is a shame. They also offer a laundry service but its much cheaper to take it two doors down where they only charge $1 per kg instead of price per item like this hotel does.

My family of 4 stayed here in early April 2023. The hotel was apparently under construction, but we barely noticed. The room was clean, the pool was lovely, and the food and drinks at the poolside restaurant were delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel is very centrally located just a short walk to the riverfront, restaurants/bars, and all sorts of other sights. We had an unfortunate issue with our door lock not working properly, and it took a couple days to fix, but the hotel did offer to immediately move us to another room but we declined as we loved our original room so much, so really we had to accept the inconvenience. I would recommend this hotel for couples or families and would stay there myself if I went again.

As I stepped out of the tuk tuk struggling with my carry on, a guard from the hotel hurriedly came up and took my carry on up the stairs, and then another young man opened the door to the beautiful spacious inviting lobby of the hotel : the young girls at the desk Oun Samnang and the Manager Ms. Seng quickly attended to my registration, while a cold welcoming drink and a moist hand towel was given to me to be refreshed from the hot ride to the hotel! I was asked if I wanted to know more about what was in the neighbourhood area that I would like to visit and I assented: important detail here: I was asked first which was quite perceptive since anyone coming in tired would be too tired to listen! I was quickly shown to my spacious room which was clean, cool and smelled heavenly! I was here for a staycation away from the bustle and hustle of the city with its loud construction sounds: - ALL staff very attentive: from the pool cleaner to the hotel maintenance cleaners: thank you - I had fresh fruit awaiting me when I went up to the room: there was glass bottle with water and a refill station downstairs if needed more: very environmentally conscious ! BRAVO for this! - the safety box gave me trouble and immediately the manager and staff came up and within minutes helped me - it was found out that somehow I was double booked from my online booking, and the manager who discovered it quickly pointed this out because she did not want me to be charged twice on my credit card: I was very impressed with her attention to detail ( I will not know yet how this will be solved since I booked online through Agoda) Breaking news: Manager Seng solved that for me and I was not charged! VERY GRATEFUL AND THANK YOU Manager Seng! - the French cafe Le Cafe at White Mansion>: cannot say enough about the staff there and the manager Ms.Sokunthy of that cafe: breakfast was delicious: coffee hot like I want and not warm as in other hotels: attention being given to even down to the bread knife for the baguette! Even if I just wanted great desserts and coffee, a place to work, I can always come to the cafe here on my day off! They graciously brought out my breakfast to the pool side area for me! - the room: amenities good: I like the idea of liquid soap rather than the little soaps given at other hotels! AND there is a blow dryer in the room! - I am an early riser: so happy that breakfast which was included began at 6:30 - at ‘turn down’ for the bed around 6, freshly baked delicious cookies were brought to the room! Cons: - it is an international hotel: so smoking is allowed everywhere: so a positive for smokers but a non-smoker who is allergic to cigarette smoke, I had to shorten my times at the pool because of this -

The service is okay, there is Chinese service, although the swimming pool cannot be entered directly, but I communicated with the front desk and finally let me in. The address is very good, next to Aeon 1 shopping mall, it is convenient for shopping. It's a pity that this is a shared hotel apartment. It would be better if it could be closed and managed. Everything was exceptional during my 10-day stay at La Chronique. Location is great, but I want focus on the facilities and staff. The hotel is small and very charming with the feel of early 20th century French colonial design and decor. The quiet rooms and the second-floor lobby all lend to one feeling like they've stepped back in time. Staff could not have been more helpful--super attentive to every need. Towels, linens, pillows all great, and the mattress was very comfortable! Two important tips: 1. The hotel is not wheelchair accessible. The lobby is a walk-up from the street, and once inside you find an elevator to access the three floors above with rooms. So one has to walk those steps each day coming and going. Second, I stayed on the first floor in a room with a balcony, which sounds great until you realize it faces an unattractive building across an alley, is not large (about 10 feet wide and extending out only 2 feet...just enough for a small table and two chairs). Most if not all of the rooms are on the small side, and my queen-size bed had only about 6 inches on either side--not enough to really access that way, I always had to climb in from the foot of the bed. A friend had the adjacent room with a king-sized bed and ample room on both sides--the only difference being that room didn't have a balcony. All the balconies take away from room size, quant as they are, and probably only the third floor was high enough to see out any distance. I never used my balcony due to its small size, limited view, and the fact that that side faces the south so it's hot out there most days. On the plus side, the rooms have full windows across that whole outside wall. PS, the shower is outstanding, as other reviews have mentioned, and there are a couple of great meeting rooms for business or small gatherings.

Since my return flight was early in the morning, I chose this one as it was close to Phnom Penh International Airport. It was very convenient because it was right in front of the airport, so I was able to move around easily. The bed was made and the room was clean. Below are some things that caught my attention. The soap dish in the shower was left dirty. There were two bottles labeled shampoo and conditioner, and I couldn't tell which was the shower gel. Also, there was no replacement toilet paper, so I wish they had kept it that long. It came with a $5 breakfast coupon. I wanted to have it, but I couldn't make it in time for my flight, so I gave up.

The hotel is in a quiet side street in the center of one of the 'nicest' areas of Phnom Penh, called BKK1. It is a pleasant boutique hotel with rooms on the ground floor around the pool, the first floor and the second floor. 8 rooms have balconies. Sun rises and hit my room (309) around 6am with 7am being the brightest. The rooms are clean, well kept and have a bright and fresh feel. The staff are excellent - take your time speaking as English can be tricky to understand - even for the English sometimes! The staff will assist you in any way they can. The food is excellent. The pool is in the central courtyard with a huge tree in the middle. It is not a lap pool and it is a great way to chill and relax keeping cool with loungers and parasols around the pool. I have moved into an apartment in Phnom Penh but would go and stay there any time and would advise anyone I now coming over to stay there.

Location - Well placed in the city. From the pool and bar area you can see the independent monument and the tops of the palace complex. There are some distance views of the river as well. Easy to walk out from to the monument, palace and the river. Just be warned that if you walk you constantly get hassled by tuk tuk's looking for business. Crossing the road can be challenging as it is very busy. Rooms - Basic clean and all that you need in a hot country. The only downside is that it can be noisy due to the stone floor that echo's the sound of chairs being moved. Staff - Polite and speak good English. Big shout out to the petite young women (sorry don't know name) who served us breakfast and during the day, evening drinks - always had a big smile and very helpful. Food - Nice selection at breakfast of fruit and cereals, pastries. A selection of cooked breakfast representing many cultures (noodles, soup, western eggs etc). Lunch/Evening they had a good selection of small bites (burritos, veg and dips) and western and Asian dishes (steak, noodles, rice) Amenities - Good wifi signal throughout. Restaurant and bar clean and mixture of seating available. Pool table. Pool was gorgeous on the roof with great views. Big enough to have a little swim about. Seating can get crowded in the afternoon when people return from touring around. Recommend the hotel as we didn't find or have any negatives.

STAY AWAY. I found a USED SYRINGE (hypodermic NEEDLE used for injecting HEROIN and other ILLEGAL DRUGS) in my room. It wasn’t hidden either, it was in plain sight — no idea how their staff missed it but it shows there is serious criminal activity going on here. And also if their basic cleaning is that bad, do you really think the sheets etc are very clean? This is very unsanitary and not healthy! When I tried to talk to the front desk they just wanted to argue about it. The manager especially was very rude to me and told me it was “ok”. NO IT IS NOT OK. The service and facilities of the hotel service are good, the food is mainly based on Chinese tastes, and the fruit for takeaway can be delivered to the door. There are karaoke and bus services nearby to go to major domestic cities. Recommended

Tao residence is an apartment/type hotel that is well located on the side street across from the river. They have some apartments that actually overlook the river and some that overlooked the side street. The apartments are clean and well appointed. The staff is responsive courteous and professional. In particular manager miss chan kagna is a Hands-On manager that you can rely upon to help when needed. In my particular case Agoda was deceptive with their booking practice and changed the room type. Fortunately I caught this mistake but it was too late to assign my paid for room. I could have canceled but because of chan kagna I decided to keep the reservation as she was going to do the best she could to find me an appropriate room even though the hotel was sold out. I was assigned a double twin room number 301 and unless you have a particular need for a double twin I would find this to be the least desirable room in the hotel. The loft rooms are particularly nice and I find to be better value than the penthouse room. Because the entrance of the hotel is on the side street which intersects with the Riverwalk you're close enough to the action without being subjected to the noise of the night time scene a couple streets away. I would recommend this hotel but stay away from the double twin room unless that is the exact betting configuration that you need.

Booked via Agoda for $10 a night. same place as Diamond Palace II/RS II Opposite the park. 2 rows of 4 rooms with the ones at the front having a view the ones at the back are quieter. The stairs are a bit steep. There's no lift. I got a small but decent sized room for 1 person. Wifi was good. There were 2 bottles of water in the room. I put them in the fridge (which was unplugged, doh!). Some of the plug sockets were a bit dodgy in the room. I asked to be moved to another room. This one was better. Most of the plug sockets worked and there was a wardrobe and it was on the 2nd floor.

We stayed here for 3 weeks while on vacation and what a gem of a place it is!! Lovely pool, surrounded by trees and has a bar and restaurant. Our buffet breakfast was included, and it has a good range of food, coffee and teas included. The bar and wait staff were amazing. Satana (Restaurant supervisor) and her team Soklen, Dolla and Clinton made us feel so at home and nothing was too much trouble for them. They went to extraordinary lengths to make sure everyone was well fed and happy. The restaurant is pretty good too and they have a large range of Asian and Western foods available. They also made great cocktails and the 3rd one is free during happy ”hours”. Our rooms were cleaned thoroughly and hotel itself is very clean throughout. Very safe and lots of tuk tuks outside. It is very close to quite a few bars and restaurants as well. The only issue we had was when we arrived the amount we paid wasn't in full and we had a hefty bill on checkout. Apparently they only charge a part payment for long stayers. Yes we should have checked properly too, that's jetlag for you. But we will definitely go back there.
