First, let's talk about the location: It's absolutely superb, nestled in a quiet, dense forest surrounded by a bay. A long row of buildings connects to an extended covered walkway, so even in the tropics, you're completely shielded from the sun. Facilities: To be honest, as the first Club Med in Asia, it really shows its age. The room facilities are almost like something from China in the 1980s – very small and worn out. Those looking for perfection might be a bit disappointed. Hygiene: Due to the old facilities, it just felt a bit unhygienic overall. For example, the towels were yellowish. I brought my own disposable toilet seat covers, disposable facial towels, and disposable bath towels for the entire stay. Service: The service was still okay. Luggage transport, guidance, and dining were all fine. The dining was pretty thoughtful; the meals changed daily, which was quite good. Snacks, BBQ, afternoon tea, cocktails, and drinks were available for enjoyment at any time. However, for someone like me who prefers natural beverages, it was a bit lacking. The fruit drinks were heavily watered down. I asked for a natural coconut and was told it would be an additional 15 MYR. I said that was fine, but then I was told they were out of stock. I find it a bit incomprehensible that in the tropics, natural coconuts aren't readily available. All the staff were relatively warm and friendly, the entertainment program was rich, and the kids' club offered different activities every day. I'd like to specifically mention that the hotel breakfast ends at 10:00 AM. If you're still eating, you'll be told to leave, which seems very unfriendly and unreasonable!

it was a very pleasent stay, good customer service with serene and healing vibe location of the resort. the resort promised rusty vibe and is exactly what we got. regarding cleanliness can be improve a lot. esp the lizard poop and previous tenant’s hair waste. food taste also can improve and can add juices options for breakfast. other than that it was a very nice stay. thank you.

This was my first time vacationing here, and overall I’m extremely satisfied with the experience. The staff were very polite, warm, and sincere, providing attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay. The unique beachfront scenery is even more stunning than in the photos. The food was above average, and we ended up having all our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—at the hotel during our stay. We also tried the massage therapy, and I have to say the environment was absolutely amazing—listening to the sound of the waves while enjoying professional massage techniques was a five-star experience. We also went on a Jungle Trial. There are a few spots where clearer directional signage could be added. As a small suggestion for the hotel, you might consider setting up a small shop selling souvenirs,postcards and snacks. Guests can truly relax and spend a leisurely time within the hotel without needing to go anywhere. I would definitely come back again.

Returned to this hotel after 10 years. Many changes, especially the pool. We stayed in a deluxe room. The room was quite spacious and clean, though the lighting was a bit dim. The water pressure was strong, which made for a pleasant shower. The mattress and pillows were just average. Breakfast was also just average with limited choices. The bellboy was excellent; he helped us carry all our luggage without complaint, even using the stairs since there's no elevator to my room's building. It was fine though. We'll definitely be back because the kids loved the pool.

This hotel is very old and hasn't been renovated well. There's no elevator, and parts of the room weren't cleaned. The bathroom by the pool smelled really bad, and there was no hot water for showers. On the plus side, it's within walking distance to the beach, and it's genuinely quiet with beautiful scenery and a great atmosphere.

Staff are very friendly and do their best to help you. Beach is nice, golden sand, but came in October and the sandflies were very bad. Hotel says that they do sandfly control but still got bitten many times. Will try another area next time, not worth the red welts due to sandfly bites. Food in the beach restaurant was subpar. Stayed in Selangor Villa, it was quaint to experience a traditional Malay villa, but there are clear signs of aging - don’t expect fancy new kind of place. This is super aged villa.

Staffs are friendly and helpful..the rooms are actually quite ok but since this is a very old hotel, we dont have a very high expectation..the kettle is not well maintain..there are still water from the previous occupants inside the kettle which is not supposed to be. .the kettle is not clean and we have to wash it few times befkre using it..but overall the hotel is ok with spacious parking space and very nice swimming pools just near the beach

Check-in and check-out process was easy. Plenty of parking space. The elevator was out of order, but the staff were very helpful and assisted us in carrying heavy luggage up the stairs to our room. The main door to the room wasn't smooth, and neither was the door to the connecting room. The swimming pool was easily accessible.
