Phonepraseuth Guesthouse

Got off to a bad start with my t/f to guest house not in attendance on airport arrival despite landing 20 mins late. The water in shower was only tepid and no hot water for shaving. Breakfast for the extra 40,000kip[US$2.50] was adequate with unlimited tea/coffee. On arrival was placed in wrong room then moved to other side which was above the carpark and near the main road. Room was well appointed, no fridge or tea/coffee facility and house keeping good with consistent time each day[2pm]. The location was the most disappointing being on wrong side of river and having to cross the bamboo bridge to the tourist area on other side. There was only one main restaurant near g/h and as a result was very popular overlooking river.

This hotel has special meaning to me so I won't give a low score. But the impression of the little girl who may be the boss at the front desk is very common, and I hope she can't understand this passage. Don't trouble me when I stay next time. The breakfast is really good, and sitting on the terrace to eat breakfast is the most enjoyable moment.

I have stayed in Laotian hotels in Vientiane and Vang Vieng before, and I still feel that the communication and room facilities of Chinese hotels are more comfortable. I found a newly opened B&B in Labang on the day of booking. I was very satisfied with my stay. The boss is super nice, kind and enthusiastic. , helped exchange money, and I also cooked and stayed with friends I met at the B&B for a few days. I was really happy. The room I booked has a large bed ➕ a small bed. It’s a good room to stay in for a family trip. The room is very clean and the bed The mattress is also very soft and comfortable to sleep on. It is only a few minutes drive from Foreigner Street. There is a market outside the B&B, where you can watch local people giving alms. It avoids the hustle and bustle and is very convenient for travel. The price/performance ratio is unbeatable!

A review would not be enough to describe how wonderful & extraordinary place Pha Nya is. Caroline, Guillaume and their great team made this stay super special. The hotel is beautifully designed, so elegant yet warm, and the hosts welcome their guests with genuine sharing. From local recommendations of everything in Luang Prabang, to a welcoming calm conversation each time, Guillaume & Caroline made this visit the best for us by genuinely sharing above and beyond. We also joined the “extended stay” club :) we changed our trip to stay more in Luang Prabang just to be longer at Pha Nya. Hands down the best place to stay in Luang Prabang if you’re also a respectful, authentic, quiet yet vibrant guest. Thank you a million!
Y Not Lao Villa

Convenient to travel, in the center of the old city, and very close to the morning and night markets. The room was booked as a family room with three beds. There was a youth hostel next door, so it was a bit noisy at night. The price is similar to that in China. The villa has a beautiful appearance and a beautiful courtyard environment, which is suitable for a short break. Overall good, recommended 👍

It was my first 'me alone' trip for the research. Staffs were very kind and breakfast was fantastic at the Mekong riverside. I especially appreciate 'Nou', a very kind and helpful staff. He shared his knowledge for my research. Thanks!

🛌🤺The boss is super enthusiastic and is Chinese, so there is no need to worry about communication problems. The room is very clean. To be honest, it is not easy to find such a good room in Langbolabang. Many owners of homestays and small hotels do not speak Chinese or the photos of the rooms are seriously different from the reality. This store is where I moved to later. The service is good, the room is clean, and it has a nostalgic style. It is very cost-effective. ☕ It is very close to the Foreigner Street, just a few minutes walk. You can participate in the alms at the entrance of the alley, which is very convenient. It is very convenient to go everywhere. It is very pleasant to eat and eat. I will stay at their house next time.

Hands down the best stay experience in Luang Prabang! A historic mid-century bungalow located on a quiet street in the middle of Luang Prabang. Beautifully restored with handcrafted furniture, textiles and a lovely design aesthetic. I loved the high ceilings, natural light and wonderfully thought out details -- the mini bar with local snacks, french press with locally-grown organic Arabica beans, organic locally crafted bath amenities and the sweet indigenous textiles around the room. The staff is exceptional, always smiling, considerate and willing to assist. I would stay here over and over again! -- I stayed in the Payapa Room, which was perfect for a solo traveller or a couple. Baan Pila also has suites with sitting areas and vestibules for those traveling with families.

Had a wonderful stay here -- it's a small, family run B&B-style hotel within easy walking distance from town. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, although for a view you need to stay upstairs (downstairs rooms are a bit dark). Highlights included the friendly staff, amazing breakfast (which is included), free water (which was very helpful given the hot weather at this time of year) and efficient laundry service. They also kindly stored a bag of mine for two nights while I was out trekking on a tour. Would certainly stay again, it's a great deal for a wonderful hotel!
Soutikone 1 Guesthouse

The guest house is well located a block back from the river and a few blocks from the night market (less than 10 mins walk). It’s in a quiet back street so no traffic noise. It’s all dark wood so a little squeaky as you move around and there is some noise from neighbouring rooms. The room was small with a balcony alongside your neighbours, that can be a downside if like us your neighbours have 4 little kids. All was very clean and the hot water worked ok. There’s a nice communal balcony with free coffee and use of a fridge. We slept okay but the mattress was quite uncomfortable. In the morning you can hear drumming from a nearby monastery at first light and also Alan starts shouting about 4am. Who’s Alan? He’s the talking cat. Very amusing during the day, but less so in the middle of the night! We stayed 4 nights and were happy enough but I felt it was a little expensive by Laos standards. We paid £23 per night and I’d say a fiver less would be more appropriate.
