#bucketlistreboot Shirahige Falls /Blue Pond Biei Hokkaido During winter time the pond becomes White Pond. If one going during spring or summer or autumn , you can actually walked down the trail . But the day I went I think it’s a -6 and getting cold, hence went up to the bridge for photo instead. Shirahige Falls stream down the cliff face into Biei River. Mount Tokachi, where the waters of Shirogane Hot Springs is sourced from, absorbs some of the water it catches down to become ground water over time. mixing with the minerals all the way from mount, it came out BLUE. Well, during winter , it’s so white so you need to stare very hard on the picture . Next to the bridge there is a place for hot spring . How to get there: Drive or Bus tour from Sapporo.
