It's a marvel of nature's craftsmanship, a super shocking scenic area that combines many different attractions. Plus, with one ticket, you can visit three times in a year, which is a great deal! For those who are still hesitating, go for it, you won't regret it. Go and experience the great rivers and mountains of our motherland! 🚄Zhengzhou——Xiuwu West Station, the high-speed train takes about 30 minutes. After exiting the high-speed train station, there is a 10💰 bus🚌 that takes you to Yuntai Mountain in about 1 hour, which is very cost-effective. There will be people at the high-speed train exit shouting '15 yuan to Yuntai Mountain' (Don't believe it!!!) The bus is already very convenient. There are special shuttle buses in the scenic area, and you can choose to get off at each attraction. My travel route🚶'Red Stone Gorge——Artificial Lake——Cornelian Cherry Peak——Phoenix Ridge ✅Red Stone Gorge 1.5—2h Don't turn back, just walk all the way to the end. After reaching the end and going up, you will find the Artificial Lake. The scenery of Red Stone Gorge is pleasant, with red stones shining under the sunlight. There are also stalactites, canyons, waterfalls, etc. It's really worth seeing😎 ✅Artificial Lake 30min The lake water is as green as a gem, and there is a boat tour available. If you're interested, you can give it a try. Nearby, there are stalls selling Yuntai Mountain specialties, fruits, drinks, and souvenirs, etc. There are also places to eat and rest. The snacks in the scenic area are really cheap and leave a good impression. ✅Cornelian Cherry Peak and Phoenix Ridge 3.5--4h You can climb Cornelian Cherry Peak or take the cable car, while Phoenix Ridge is only accessible by cable car. If you want to experience climbing, you can climb Cornelian Cherry Peak (the steps are quite steep and can be tiring), and after reaching the top, you can walk to Phoenix Ridge from another path, then take the cable car down from Phoenix Ridge. Alternatively, you can take the cable car up from Phoenix Ridge and walk down from Cornelian Cherry Peak. This season, only a few flowers have bloomed, and the trees have not yet sprouted. The water flow is also not very abundant, so it's recommended to visit in summer. ⚠️To enter the scenic area, you need to go through a turnstile and scan your ID card, so remember to prepare your ID card🆔 You need to scan your ID card at each attraction. 💡There are sightseeing buses within the scenic area, and you need to take a shuttle bus to switch between different attractions. There are many mountain roads and twists and turns, so those who get carsick should be careful. 💡Tips: Remember to bring sunscreen and a hat, as the UV rays on the mountain are quite strong. For the May Day holiday, I chose an unusual route—a one-day tour of Yuntai Mountain. Yes, you heard it right, one day to challenge the limits of my 'iron legs' and cover all the scenic spots in one fell swoop! 👧👶 About ticket prices: The full adult ticket is 120 yuan + 60 yuan for the scenic area transportation fee, and the ticket allows you to play for 3 consecutive days, with free entry and exit to the scenic area. Students can get half-price tickets with their ID card and student ID, children under 1.4m have free admission, and children under 1.2m also have free cable car rides. Importantly, you can enter the park without an ID card! 🔴 One-day itinerary: Arrive at the ticket office before 8:00, head towards Hongshi Gorge for sightseeing, depart for Xiaozhaigou at 9:30, reach Quanpu Gorge and Tian Waterfall by 10:00, return to the food city for a rest at 12:00, set off for Monkey Valley at 13:00, take the bus to Zhuyu Peak and walk along Fenghuang Ridge at 15:00, and around 18:40 take the bus back to the entrance at Baijiayan station. Pay attention to sun protection, as it's easy to get tanned when going up the mountain. If you like to experience additional activities, this itinerary may not be suitable for you, as I went purely to enjoy the scenery and didn't want to queue. The Jiaozuo-Yuntai Mountain tourism bus line 3 operates until 18:10 at the latest and is free during the May Day period. If you are late, it is recommended to have a car or take a taxi. 🌞 The scenery is great, and after the trip, we had a small barbecue, ending a full day's journey. If you have, it’s likely for the Shaolin Temple or Longmen grottoes (check out my other posts for a review on those cultural highlights) but it’s not often that YunTai mountain is talked about as a must-go place. Situated in the north of the province, YunTai mountain not only hosts beautiful waterfalls, monkey trails and mountain top temples, but also the Red Rock Gorge. This really took my breath away with miles of stairs up and down the crevice with the characteristic… you’ve guessed it! Red rocks! The whole scenic area is easily accessible via tourist bus, cable car and boat!
