Not just historical sites, I recommend these places in Xi'an
Xi'an, a city that always makes one eager to explore more. Here, I have visited many historical sites and seen the marks of the years. Having understood much of the past, it's also important to look at the present, so I decided to walk into the streets and alleys of Xi'an to collect the essence of everyday life.
Strolling through Xiangzi Temple Street, I felt comfortable and charmed. Although Xiangzi Temple Street is adjacent to the bustling downtown area, it is a place of tranquility. The lush and verdant phoenix trees on both sides of the road seem to isolate the hustle and bustle of the city, and the grey buildings and the fairy-like Xiangzi Temple add an ancient charm to the area. Walking into Xiangzi Temple Street, understanding Xiangzi culture, and feeling the flow of slow time.
Then I turned into Defu Alley. Different from Xiangzi Temple Street, this place is more modern and youthful. Defu Alley is mainly composed of various coffee houses, bars, etc., with buildings mostly in European-style antique design. Here you can see many young people taking photos, drinking coffee, and socializing, bringing a different vitality to the ancient streets and alleys.
Next, I arrived at Academy Street. True to its name, this street is filled with a strong scholarly atmosphere, with calligraphy, traditional Chinese paintings, and stone tablet rubbings everywhere. I thought the content of the calligraphy and paintings would mostly be ancient poems, but upon closer inspection, there were also easy-to-understand vernacular texts. The Four Treasures of the Study are still a part of people's lives, and literary and artistic works can also keep up with the times. The past and the present, tradition and innovation, collide here to create multiple possibilities.
Different from the past, this time I abandoned the checklist-style visit, without a detailed plan in advance, randomly chose an afternoon, and immersed myself in the bustling streets and alleys, capturing the scenes I liked, recording the impressions of Xi'an in my eyes. In such a slow pace, perhaps one can better feel the temperature of a city.
Xi'an people's college gate, on the wall of Yongningmen, refers to a pedestrian street from the stele forest to the entrance of Guanzhong College. There is a tall archway with ancient charm, and the three golden characters of "the college gate" are on the book. The street is green and antique buildings on both sides, the ground is paved with blue stones, and the east is the monument forest. During the day, there is a street of calligraphy and painting, with a strong literary atmosphere; there are not many tourists, tree-lined, strolling between them, walking around, very comfortable, at night is a snack street, Xi'an is rich in characteristics. A street not to be missed in Xi'an
The academy gate is not far from the south gate city wall. When you enter the archway, you will find Xi'an Normal University Affiliated Elementary School. This is a 115-year-old school. It is a witness to the earth-shaking changes in Xi'an's inner city. Then you will find Guanzhong College. This is the ancient "higher learning institution". The scale of the academy is very large. The college still has a strong cultural atmosphere.
Not bad, I took the children for a walk at night, there were too many pens and inks, and there were live painting fans and writing bookmarks.
The literary and artistic atmosphere of the Academy doors is bursting, and the young literary and artistic people must go to the academy. Or one of the scenic spots that Xi'an must visit. You can play together in Bell Tower, Huimin Street, Academy Gate and Defu Lane, because the distance is very close, you can go together... Great tour!
The academy door is inside the Yongning Gate, more than 100 meters on the right hand side, the attraction is small in scale, a short street, when playing Yongning Gate, take it with you. It is really tattered. In addition to the archway at the entrance of the alley and the Baoqing Temple Tower, there is nothing to see. The building of "Zhang Yiyuan" and the door of "Xi'an Normal University Affiliated Primary School" should also be rebuilt. If you want to see the Beilin Museum, just walk. After all, it is now the era of computer typing. There are really not many people interested in the four treasures of the Wenfang. There are fewer people who can deceive fake cultural relics. The space for these merchants to survive will not be very large. The moat park is quite good.
