アバンギャルド

内子座ができて10年後、映画館までできてしまったようです。八日市・護国からも本町通りからもやや外れた寂しい場所に風変わりな意匠の建屋が現れます。周囲から一段低い土地に建っているのは、当時の活動写真に対する世間の冷たい視線だったのでしょうかね？

昭和を強く感じさせる元映画館の建物です

観光本にもあまり紹介されていませんが、内子の街歩きの途中でぜひ観てほしい建物です。中に入れず外側だけですが、古い映画のポスターがたくさん貼られていて、それを眺めるだけでも楽しめます。
