Shenyang Zhongxin Temple

Located on the north side of the Forbidden City, built in 1388, it is a landmark building in the ancient city of Shenyang, and the smallest temple in Shencheng, covering an area of just more than 300 square meters, of which the legend of public escorting is related.

After the Jin Dynasty moved to Shenyang City in 1625, the statue of "Lord Guan" was respectfully offered to the temple at its most central position. The four-character gold plaque "Zhongyi Qianqiu" was hung in the temple, also known as "Zhongyi Qianqiu Temple". Legend has it that Guanyu in the temple was the guardian of the emperor. From the Qing Dynasty to the present, there is only one central temple in Shenyang, the oldest preserved temple dedicated to Emperor Guan, which bears many historical facts and legends. It is not only an important coordinate of the ancient city of Ming and Qing Dynasties, but also a witness of the folk culture of the past.
