I had booked to go here as part of my school trip. On arrival, we met and took a tour and briefly introduced the sanctuary. Since sometime in the year, we found more information there about lazy bears than birds. (Because there aren’t so many birds around this time of year) The trip/talk was very helpful, the guide obviously had a lot of knowledge and was passionate about his work. We had the opportunity to see some of the rescued sloth bears. We also watched a short film that gave us more information and had the opportunity to look at the veterinary treatment bears in the medical room. It was a great project that not only saved bears but educated people who abused them. The staff are lovely and obviously there is a love of animals. The students love it here.

It was far beyond my expectations and I had a wonderful guide who gave me lots of useful information. He tried hard to pedal but did a good job of pointing out animals and birds to me and it was easily one of the best experiences of my 11-day trip. After the crowd, the car horns kept ringing, and it was wonderful to hear only birds and animals.
