Great ryokan with private onsen
Great little ryokan with in-room kaiseki dinner. We opted for a room with a private onsen and it was amazing! We didn't have a car but there is a shuttle bus from Nagano Station
Visited this onsen after recommendation from the hotel staff. When we were there, we saw many locals using the onsen and this is a sure sign that it's good! Location is not very convenient but it's ...
A place is great for a rest. The view of the mountains and relaxation is full. The place is not expensive . You can walk from Nagano Station. I don't remember exactly how much but reached quickly.
It's a wonderful open-air bath, as if it's a town's health land. Anyway, it's a large open-air bath, and you can feel the vast nature with magnificent mountains standing in front of you. It was an open-air bath that seemed to be the best than any hot spring area I've been to. You can stay overnight, but there are 3 rooms with a room bath. The bath is not the size of a room, but it is a large bath as large as a public bath. 8 people can enter. There is also a washroom where you can enjoy a large communal bath and a room bath.
You can also stay at a large hot spring facility in the city near Nagano Station. I used it for a day trip bath. In addition to the indoor bath, the bathroom has a full facility with a footbath, a hit bath, a sleeping bath, a jacuzzi and a sauna. There was a large open-air bath outside and I was able to take a leisurely bath. The hot spring is a brown hot spring, and the amount of hot water is abundant, so it seems to be flowing. The quality of the spring is sodium-chloride hot spring.
