Togakushi Shrine, Nagano Japan ❄️❄️❄️
Nagano is a prefecture with many majestic mountains and beautiful natural scenery. Togakushi-jinja Shinto Shrine is one of them. Walking through the snowy paths and praying at the shrines gave me a very interesting spiritual experience. Especially the road leading to Togakushi-okusha Shrine with 2 rows of old pine trees with foliage covered with snow is a great photo spot. The photo number 1,2,3,9 in this post were taken here. I feel like I can spend hours walking under these trees to feel their beauty and sacredness.
There are 2 ways to go to Okusha(奥社), an easy asphalt road and a snowy road that is a bit difficult but the winter scenery is wonderful. You can see the snow-covered mountains and walking through the snow-covered paths making you feel like you're in a fairy tale. it took us about 45 minutes to walk from Chusha(中社) to Okusha(奥社), it’s a little bit tired but you will find that snowy road is worth the trip.

Japan Alps: Kamikochi, Nagano Prefecture
Located in the birthplace of the Japanese Alps, Kamikochi offers breathtaking views and access to your next adventure.
The natural history of Kamikochi is one of great elemental upheavals occurring over many thousands of years, though some of these were also quite recent. The mountains and valleys were shaped in part by glacial activity, evidence of which can still be seen in some of the most prominent peaks. Another major player in the formation of the area was Mt. Yakedake, whose eruption over 14,000 years ago changed the course of the Azusa River, causing it to run through the basin in which present day Kamikochi and Matsumoto are located.
Mt. Yakedake would again play a role in shaping Kamikochi’s landscape when another eru#asia tion in the summer of 1915 dammed the Azusa River, creating Taisho Pond. It should be mentioned that Mt. Yakedake is the only active volcano in the Northern Alps and still proclaims its fury to the heavens by constantly emitting a plume of smoke.

Mount Nekodate (根子岳) and Mount Azumaya(四阿)
4-5 hour drive from Tokyo, Mount Nekodate and Azumaya is a fantastic place to visit. We went for hiking and the Icecream they sell near the entrance is so tasty.
Highly recommend carrying the cane, enough water and a hiking shoes. The top part was covered with the snow and was slippery.

Situated by an unassuming high way, La Casta Natural Healing is a gem hidden inside bushes- just like how we discovered it. Upon approaching the grounds,
there is not much to suggest that there is a breathtaking garden inside the gates. We were completely stunned by the carefully crafted the garden, and yet when we felt we could no longer by stunned by its beauty, we still continued to be surprised at every turn.
The building and the surrounding grounds is actually a factory for organic body care products, which you can purchase on the spot. I smelled so good after visiting that I practically wanted to eat myself. With workshops for making fragrances and a small cafe just outside the main building, it is a must hit for travellers in the Nagano area.
