Remember to check the sunrise time in advance and arrive early to avoid missing this magnificent spectacle. ⚠️Tips: The early spring mornings are cold, so it is recommended to stay in a homestay near Jinluan Bay for convenience in watching the sunrise. The homestay we stayed at was very cozy and reasonably priced. After leaving, a short walk or bike ride will take you there. 🏖️Shuangmianhai Lighthouse: The beach here forms a path to the small island when the tide is out, not only a filming location for the movie 'The Left Ear' but also a place where tourists leave beautiful memories. 🌄Nanwangtiantai and Chenghuang Temple: These two spots are adjacent to each other. Standing on the Tiantai, you can drink a cool beverage and enjoy the panoramic beauty of Dongshan Island. Transportation suggestion: After arriving at Yunxiao Station by high-speed rail, you can take a bus directly to Dongshan Island. The fare is 10 yuan/person. If there are many people, you can choose to share a ride, the cost is 25 yuan/person. On Dongshan Island, it is recommended to rent a small electric donkey for travel, the rent is 60-80 yuan, and the off-season is 40 yuan. Be sure to ask about the battery life and return time when renting a car. Accommodation recommendation: Tongling Town is close to Nanmen Bay, there are many things to eat, and takeaway is also convenient. But it's noisy, especially by the sea. The price of sea view rooms is more expensive. Jinluan Bay can get up early to watch the sunrise, but the delivery of takeaways is more expensive and takes a long time. There are fewer things to eat nearby. If there are many people, it is recommended to share the room fee together and choose a single-family villa for living, where you can barbecue and cook. 1. Take bus route 15 on the right side of the exit of Gaotie Yunxiao Station to Tongling Town, with a ticket price of 10 yuan and a travel time of about 45 minutes. 2. Aojiao Village is worth visiting, but the journey is about 28 kilometers and the condition of the national road is complicated, so cycling is not recommended. It is suggested to drive or take a taxi. Go further and climb up the mountain. 3. Su Fengshan's cycling is very beautiful.

Getting There - Dongshan Island is a natural wonderland located in the Sortheast of Fujian Province. Hop on a train going to Yunxiao train station and from there there are buses running frequently taking you to the island (around 30 mins’ ride). Highlight - The island isn’t very big but it takes a bit time to see everything. During the stay we rented motorbikes from the side of street (very easy and convenient) at a very reasonable price. With a motorbike it’s so easy to get around and explore the island wherever you like. I particularly enjoyed visiting Sufeng Mountain and having a swim at Maluan Bay and Jiluan Bay. Locals all go to those beach to relax and enjoy the water and abundant sunshine. This island is charming in ways that I can’t put into words. Dongshan (东山) is a county in the southeast of Fujian Province, under the administration of Zhangzhou close to Guangdong province. It is located on Dongshan Island which is the second largest island in the province. The old town is very nice to walk, many small restaurants and coffees, not touristic at all...
