Chaohu Museum

Chaohu City Museum currently has 2,818 cultural relics in its collection, including 40 first-class cultural relics, 35 second-class cultural relics, and 77 third-class cultural relics. In the collection, a large number of exquisite lacquer wood and jade wares unearthed from Wanggang Han Tomb and Beishantou Han Tomb occupy a prominent position in the country. The basic display of Chaohu City Museum is divided into two parts: the exhibition of fine cultural relics unearthed from Fangwanggang Han Tomb in Chaohu City and the display of Fangwanggang Han Tomb Site. "Chaohu City Fangwanggang Han Tomb Fine Art Exhibition" is based on the excellent cultural relics unearthed from the Fangwanggang and Beishantou Han tombs in Chaohu City. The history and civilization of Chaohu Lake demonstrate the wisdom of the ancient working people of Chaohu. The main exhibits are the Western Han Dynasty gilt bronze vermilion bird, the white jade dragon-shaped ring with double-line scale pattern, and the jade seal of "Luke's Seal". "Fangwanggang Han Tomb Site Display" is the only exhibition hall of the original site of the Han tomb in Hefei City. The original site displays the large-scale Han tomb in Fangwanggang, and introduces the structure characteristics, excavation situation and achievements of the Han tomb in Fangwanggang. During the excavation of the site, a large number of jade articles were buried with the inner coffin. Among the unearthed jade articles, there was a seal printed with "Lv Ke's Seal", which confirmed that the owner of the tomb was Lu Ke. According to the relevant cultural relics unearthed, it is inferred that the era should be the period of Emperor Zhao and Emperor Xuan after Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty.
