Unfortunately there was no English speaking guide and had a hard time reading about the artist's life. I enjoyed his art very much! Amazing! Must see! No pictures are allowed inside the gallery.
He was an orphan painter who was also called 'gogan' in Japan and 'wakachu' in Showa. A long time ago, I saw Ichimura's works for the first time at the NHK Sunday Museum, and I was overwhelmed by the "moving spirit" of the works, and became a fan of Ichimura.
