Photos of Ji Xin's Temple

Jigong Temple is located in Jigongmiao Village, 26 kilometers northwest of Zhengzhou City, and was built to commemorate Jixin. Ji Xin was Liu Bang's general. In 204 BC, Liu Bang was besieged by Xiang Yu. Ji Xin pretended to be Liu Bang and deceived the Chu army, allowing Liu Bang to escape. In a fit of rage, Xiang Yu burned Ji Xin to death. Later generations built a temple here for Ji Xinxiu’s tomb, but the temple is no longer there, only more than 30 pieces of stele inscriptions that rebuilt the temple after the Tang Dynasty and praised Ji Xin. Among them, the stone stele written by calligrapher Lu Zang is more precious. The six characters of "Han Zhonglie Jigong Stele" are in seal script on the forehead of the stele.
