Linji Temple, formerly known as Linji Courtyard, is now located on the east side of Shengmin Street, Zhengding County, Hebei Province. It was built in the second year of Emperor Xinghe of the Eastern Wei Dynasty (540). Linji Temple was built repeatedly in the Jin (1115-1234), Ming (1368-1644), and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. In the temple, there is a stupa of Zen Master Yixuan, named "Chengling Pagoda". In 1985, the Chengling Pagoda was rebuilt, and the main hall was added, and two halls were built on both sides of the main hall. In the Chuan Deng Hall, the three founders of the Japanese Rinzai sect, the founder of the Japanese Rinzai sect, Mingan Rongxi, the Zhongxing founder Nanpu Shaoming, and the Japanese Huangbo sect founder Yinyuan Longqi, are donated by the Japan-China Friendship Linhuang Association.
