Harder Kulm: Alpine Majesty Unveiled
#fallishere
Harder Kulm, situated near Interlaken, Switzerland, boasts a rich history dating back to the late 19th century. In 1905, a funicular was constructed to ascend the mountain, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Swiss Alps and the picturesque town of Unterseen below. This iconic viewpoint, perched at 1,322 meters above sea level, has become a must-visit destination for travelers seeking awe-inspiring landscapes.
During my visit to Harder Kulm, the majesty of the surrounding scenery left an indelible mark on me. As I stood atop the mountain, the vast expanse of Unterseen unfolded before my eyes like a captivating story. The pristine lakes, rolling hills, and charming villages created a tableau of serene beauty. It was a moment of profound connection with nature, where time seemed to stand still amidst the timeless Swiss landscape.
Probably one of the best view points to watch sunset. You can see both lake thun and lake brienz on top of the mountain. There are a lot of people going there for sunset as it has the only lift that operate till late at night.
In order to shoot the night view of Interlaken, so choose to go up the mountain in the evening, is a kind of mountaineering train up, after going up is an observation deck, there is a bar there, overlooking the old town, lakes, etc.
Beautiful high place to see the panoramic high view of Interlaken, the Alps and the lakes between the town. It also has a restaurant up here. Highly recommended.
such a beautiful placei love this place, perfect view ,everything is just amazing in there
You can see the whole scene of Interlaken. You can also see two lakes called the eyes of God, Lake Brienz and Lake Tuen. On a good day, you can see many peaks, including the Girl Peak.
Great place to visit! You can take the cable car (10 minutes) or take a little time to climb up... (averagely takes 1.5 hours). I have done both of these things on different days and both of them have impressed the city and the two lakes, especially when the weather is clear... we had our meal on top The hall (1300 meters) had a meal... unparalleled!
