Shenzhen Gymnasium was invested and built by the Shenzhen Municipal Government in 1985. The building area of the gymnasium is 21,200 square meters. Surrounded by lush flowers and trees, it is evergreen all year round. The quiet and spacious square and the lush green belt form a harmonious and beautiful realm. In the south square facing the gate, stands a large stainless steel sculpture with the content of the Chinese women's volleyball team, named "Fighting". On the large wall of the gymnasium facing the west square is a plane relief sculpture entitled "Light of the Olympics" made of ink and jade. Whenever an event is held, the audience can climb to the second floor platform from the wide steps on the south, north and west sides of the gymnasium.
