Photos of Hovedoya

This is one of the larger islands in the Oslo Fjord. In summer, the island is lush with vegetation, wildflowers everywhere, and you can see seagulls and sailboats in the distance. The scenery on the island is very good, and there are not many tourists. The island also preserves the ruins of the 11th-century Cistercian monastery, which looks quite impressive in the grass, except for some ancient military buildings and facilities on the island.
