It was an aircraft carrier called a "ghost ship" by the Japanese in the Pacific War of World War II. It was attacked several times by the enemy but appeared fearlessly on the battlefield again, and its reputation shocked the enemy.
The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum showcases aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, submarine USS Growler, and various types of military fight jets. The gigantic aircraft carrier is parked by the shore and has become part of the beautiful scenery of the Hudson River. Among the exhibits, USS Growler is a submarine with missile firing capability that can be boarded by visitors. Its interior metal machinery, bridge, and missile inspection cabin are very interesting and worth a look.
