Sushi and Philosophy, True Art
SUSHI GINZA ODORENA
Address
461 5th Ave
New York
10017
Give a man a fish and feed him all day; teach a man to fish and feed him all his life. Such a pearl of wisdom! But there is little evidence that fish should be served here, especially when it happens at the newly created Ginza Onodera sushi restaurant, awarded two Michelin stars. After decades of New Yorkers' disdain for sushi, this versatile Little Tokyo restaurant is changing that scenario, and its revenge is nigiri, which is better served cold and seasoned (from Ginza to edomaezushi). Oceans wash the shores in the hope of reclaiming this fish.
Ginza's seasonal omakase is not just a freshly prepared dish from Tokyo's prestigious Tsukiji market, and it does not depend on exotic varieties. Ginza, which debuted here last year, offers epic, breathtaking craftsmanship that made our interlocutor, who lives in Japan four months a year and dines in several of its best restaurants, close his eyes after tasting a week-old golden aiz snapper and say, “Shut up. Give me a second. Let me enjoy this moment.” Ginza serves fish the way a diamond serves carbon: with impressive perfection, filled with luxury. It's the fish that traps us.
A roasted barracuda with barely noticeable charring fills the mouth with smoke and envelops the umami tongue. The liver of the sea devil, cooked over low heat in wine for two days, goes well with other dishes, resembling crispy foie gras. Bonito, which is usually served in the form of a sharp slice, here is a bright red supreme with the addition of soy from katsuo, a fish roll "Tootsie Roll" in the center of the dish. Fatty tuna is so marbled that it can be mistaken for carpaccio. To preserve the natural brine, uni from Hokkaido comes in sealed bags with seawater (which might as well be "tears of joy").
All this is led by chef Masaki Saito, who wields his knives in sacred silence in this sushi temple. At one point during a recent visit, he grimaced and sucked on his index finger after slicing ginger. The stunned visitors held their breath until he showed an intact finger and calmly declared, “I'm a professional.” In Ginza, understatement is an exquisite art form.

Kamasu at Time Out Market NY will occupy a picturesque corner spot on the roof of the fifth floor of 55 Water Street in Dumbo.
Bathed in natural light, with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, the East River, Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, his perch is perfect for photo shoots, whether you're a tourist taking a look at the city for the first time or a local who thinks he's seen it all.
Kamasa's Brooklyn menu will include maki, donburi and temaki signature sets, as well as chicken karaoke and shishito peppers, which can be enjoyed in a spacious, majestic interior. Everything was very nicely decorated inside, and the food we ordered was delicious too. I ordered a salmon dish, and the fish was very fresh, and my friend ordered a set of hand rolls, and she really liked the dish too. Overall, it was worth the money and looked like a good place.

New York sightseeing
The best way the visit New York's top attractions is using one of the unlimited sightseeng passes! For the ticket price of 2 attractions you can have unlimited in a day. I reccomend the 3 or 4day pass if you are an adventurer 3day is enough to include all the main and some attractions if you like to take your time and don't rush 4day is the go. For transport the weekly subway pass is the best way to go, it's also good on the buses.

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) Breakfast at Tiffany’s with the cutest decor
The Tiffany Blue Box café in NYC has finally reopened.
The Blue Box Cafe is on the fourth floor of Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue. The entrance is through the main door of the store and then just walk up to the fourth floor (there is an elevator). That’s where the brand’s decor department is located and it’s possible to buy many of the dishes that are used in the cafe.
The newly renovated fourth floor also features a baby boutique and a Tiffany fragrance lab, among other specialty corners.
Now comes the best. Daniel Boulud brings a seasonally inspired menu for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
The prix-fixe breakfast includes coffee or tea, a croissant with trimmings and fruit salad, and dishes including truffle eggs, or the New York classic bagel with Nova Scotia salmon and cream cheese. The prix-fixe two-course lunch offers light starters such as a mushroom soup with a sage crisp or a chopped salad, followed by a main course, which could be the club sandwich named for company founder Charles Lewis Tiffany. I decided to go with the light breakfast and it was so delicious.
The trademark “Tiffany Blue” color which is also known as the Pantone color “1837 Blue,” named after Tiffany's founding year is tastefully and creatively sprinkled throughout the space. Whether it is the chandelier-like Tiffany blue boxes hanging above diners, the marble-clad accent wall with the perfect blue hues, or the art-inspired dishes with touches of blue.
The Tiffany Blue Box Cafe in New York had a reputation for being impossible to get into. Harrods have a solution. Every Friday morning, you can book a table for the week ahead only. So it’s a week to week scheduling. They keep tables for walk-ins but I would recommend to make a reservation as you may not want to wait in a long line for a long period of time.
Make sure you add this cute spot to your list when you come to New York. #freehotelstay #blueboxcafe #tiffanys #newyorkcity #tripmoments

What can I even say about this magnificent place. Iconic, obviously, but also with so many things to do, see, take pictures of and experience.

The place is very easy to reach by Subway, Columbus Circle is the easiest way to get to the most epic sites. Get ready to walk, but a pizza pretzel and enjoy NY.
One of the prettiest parks I’ve ever visited, its location in the middle of the city and yet you feel far away. Very calming and beautiful nature inside. You can spend a whole day there. For me it was always a dream to visit the park and I am sure for millions too, and it’s worth it. We came here to sot down and stay calm in the middle of this beautiful park. I think it’s a must see and visit. There are toilets too if you’re looking for it.

New York city New Year's Eve
New York City New Year's Eve Last 2022.
It is really a bucket list to spend the new year's eve on NYC Times square. But you need to be ready, Dress Warm, stay hydrated and No Bathroom inside the crowd. We got inside, near the stage about 12hours before the countdown with no restroom time at all 😱, NYPD wont let you go outside to take a restroom and be back to your place. Once you get out, they wont let you in again and thus the crowd its difficult to be back inside. if your with a child, like me together with my 7yr old child, she wore a diapers so to be sure. but overall experience was all worth it. because of we are early on the scene, we had always has an exposure to the tv cameras, we even got exposures that shown in CNN and worldwide tvs and news! NY,NY! The city so nice, they named it twice
I recently spent some time in New York City and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The energy of that place is like nowhere else I've ever been.
I spent my days exploring the different neighborhoods, trying all the amazing food (those bagels and pizza sclices, though), and taking in the sights and sounds of the city that never sleeps. Times Square was everything I expected and more - it's such a unique and iconic place. I even managed to catch a Broadway show, which was a dream come true. I don’t even want to start talking about Top of the Rock - I think the pics speak for themselves.
But my favorite part of the trip was getting to know the locals. Everyone I met was so friendly and welcoming, and it really added to my overall experience. I even made some new friends who showed me around and gave me some insider tips on the best places to go.
Overall, I had an amazing time in NYC and can't wait to go back and make more memories. #nyc #newyorkcity #travel #adventure #citylife

The distinctive architecture and interior design of Grand Central Terminal’s station house have earned it several landmark designations, including as a National Historic Landmark. Its Beaux-Arts design incorporates numerous works of art. Grand Central Terminal is one of the world’s ten most visited tourist attractions. When you walk in you’ll be confused whether this is a station or a work of art. Looking up the ceiling and seeing the many celestial motifs made us admire the beauty of this building. ❓Did you know the Empire State Building in New York was finished in record time?
ℹ️ Planning and construction of the Empire State Building took just 20 months from start to finish. As many as 3,400 men were used each day.
Unlike many projects, the Empire State Building was finished ahead of schedule and under budget, but it also came with a human cost as some workers were killed during the construction process.
The views from the 360 observation deck are amazing, you should visit. You can see some of the greatest landmarks and buildings on Manhattan Island but also you could see far enough to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

We have been to many places around the world and have visited lots of museums. We didn't visit many museums in New York but felt that we should pay a visit to the National Museum of the American Indian.
Native American art and artefacts, some going back 12,000 years, displayed in a former customs house. It’s a great way to learn more about the tribes that once lived in these parts from pre-colonial times.
Overall a good place to visit if you haven't been to a museum like this before. This, combined with the relatively gloomy weather made it a perfect indoors visit.

The highlight for us was seeing the London skyline (last photo) in the evening. Beautiful lights, tall beautiful buildings and breathtaking views ✨️ 😍 ❤️

But these are for sure the things to see and watch out for when you are in NYC. We believe the city is vibrant and seems to inspire you, once there. The tall skyscrapers, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty to name a few are what make New York home to over 8 million people.

Another distinct set of eateries are the iconic American Diners. Diners offer a wide range of foods, mostly American cuisine, a casual atmosphere. Considered quintessentially American, many diners share an archetypal exterior form. Some of the earliest were converted rail cars, retaining their streamlined structure and interior fittings. From the 1920s to the 1940s, diners, by then commonly known as “lunch cars”, were usually prefabricated in factories, like modern mobile homes. And so we went to a nearby well reviewed diner and we ordered a traditional American steak imported from… Romania. Ta da! Bet you didn’t expect that one.
