Photos of Kayabuki No Sato

It is located in Kitamura, Miyama Town, Nandan City, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. It is listed as one of Japan's three major thatched cottages (かやぶきのかやぶきのかやぶきのかやぶきのかやぶきのかやぶきの里). It is about two hours away from Kyoto city. The small Beicun has only 50 households. Most of the houses in the village were built in the middle and late Edo period, and 38 of them still use thatched roofs.
