Bayi Bridge, also known as Nanchang Bayi Bridge. Completed in 1936, it was originally named Zhongzheng Bridge and is a wooden bridge. After 1949, the city rebuilt the Zhongzheng Bridge and renamed it "Zhongzheng" as "August 1". At that time, the width of the "Bayi Bridge" was only 10 meters. Later, the traffic on the bridge became increasingly busy, and the "Bayi Bridge" became more and more overwhelmed. On November 5, 1995, the construction of the new Bayi Bridge began. The New Bayi Bridge is located 50 meters upstream of the original bridge, with a total length of more than 3,000 meters. It is a cable-stayed bridge in Jiangxi Province and the longest cable-stayed bridge in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It was officially completed and opened to traffic on September 29, 1997. It starts from Yangming Road in the east, crosses Ganjiang River, connects with Lushan South Avenue in the west, connects Changbei Open Development Zone in the north, and connects with Changjiu Expressway. It is an important channel connecting Hunan, Hubei, Anhui and northern Jiangxi. The New Bayi Bridge is not only a magnificent modern transportation facility, but also a major landscape in Nanchang. The appearance of the bridge is majestic and magnificent, and the towering towers correspond to the tall buildings on both sides of the strait. The vertical and horizontal design adopts vertical curves, like Changhong lying wave, with beautiful curves. The South Approach Bridge has three floors, all interchanges, trumpet-shaped, four circles flying like butterflies, and four pavilions, namely Xunyang Tower, Yugutai, Peony Pavilion and Longzhu Pavilion, which reflect the history and culture of Jiangxi, stand in the circle. The stone carvings of black and white cats on the bridge head on the south bank of the bridge have profound meanings. The two bronze lions on the north bank are majestic and majestic. The whole bridge is like a giant dragon lying on the Ganjiang River, forming a new tourist scenic line in Nanchang.
