Photos of Gaobei Tulou Buildings

Located in Gaobei Village, Gaotou Country, Yongding County, the Gaobei Tulou buildings were erected in the Ming Dynasty. The Wuyun Building reflects a time-honored legacy of earth building. The elegant Qiaofu Building shows the patriotic sentiments of overseas Chinese. Chengqi Building—the "King of the Round Building—is a well-known earth building. The "Fujian Tulou Buildings" were listed as a World Heritage Site at the World Heritage Committee meeting held in Quebec, Canada, in 2008. The Gaobei Tulou Buildings are also named in the list.
