I’m at one of the most unusual places I’ve found in China. It still feels fresh and uncrowded, though I think it may become very popular in the next two or three years.

This is Qilian Mountain in Gansu Province. It is suitable for senior citizens and families with children. Best of all, the altitude is not as high as in Yunnan or Sichuan. There is no need to hike here—you can take an escalator up and a roller coaster down.
