Here’s a quick vibe check on two seriously underrated spots: Sofia, Bulgaria and Yangcheng 🌏👌

Top Spots to Visit in Sofia 🇧🇬
Don’t miss the free walking tour—locals run it daily, and it’s packed with quirky history, hidden gems, plus epic architecture everywhere. Stroll past Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (pl. "Sveti Aleksandar Nevski", usually open 7am–7pm) — this is the city’s biggest church and a must for photos. There’s also St. Nedelya Church (pl. "Sveta Nedelya") and Banya Bashi Mosque (Sveta Petka Square), all within walking distance. Sofia’s atmosphere is cool, mixy: streets lined with traditional vibes but new shops and cafes popping up everywhere. Try a traditional banitsa at Furna (ul. "Tsar Simeon" 25), or swing by Hadjidraganov's Cellars (ul. "Hristo Belchev" 18) for classic cuisine in a rustic setting.

Practical Tips:
Definitely do the walking tour for local perspective and make friends while you’re at it. Most churches are free entry, but bring coins for candles. Sofia’s city center is super walkable, so skip taxis and hop on trams if you want to see more neighborhoods. English is widely spoken but learning "blagodarya" (thank you) gets you smiles.

Getting Around:
Trams and metro connect main spots, but the city center is best on foot. Train station is close to downtown, so it’s easy for day trips.

Food Hack:
Try Shopska salad everywhere—it’s cheap, fresh, and iconic, and grab some yogurt desserts (Bulgaria’s famous for it!).

Yangcheng
If you’re heading over to Yangcheng, research local transport options—it’s a quick city to explore, but check Trip.com for train times and regional highlights.
