Shibing

Miao costumes are known as the history worn on the body, also known as the epic of migration, recording the way of the Miao people. Each type of Miao embroidery, each pattern, each weaving method, are the life codes in the long years, the living history. The embroiderers in the embroidery poverty alleviation workshop of Shibing County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, have integrated the vivid images of ethnic cultural stories into the embroidery works through pens and threads, telling the ethnic stories well, while promoting the ethnic intangible cultural heritage, more than 2,000 Miao women have achieved employment and income increase at their doorstep. In addition, local children have been exposed to this traditional skill from a young age, making the 'intangible heritage' in the mountains glow with new vitality.
