As part of a larger tour I made across Puglia a couple years ago, I had to stop by Ostuni. Ostuni is a unique town that resembles a bright cap rising up right from the flat plains near the southern coast of Italy. Its whitewashed defensive walls and houses in the old town with many winding streets, steps and beautifully decorated, colorful window frames can make you think you're somewhere in Greece.
Also known as “The White City”, because of the white lime tones of its historic center, Ostuni stands on a 600-feet hill overlooking the nearby Adriatic coastline and I must say that Mediterranean vibes ooze from every corner and every alley.
You could definitely spend an entire morning or afternoon wandering around and cherishing the slow life of Apulian people, making pasta or putting laundry out to dry.
Details of its ancient past, baroque and medieval, can be found everywhere across the city in churches and old palaces. Night life is vibrant with tons of places where you can eat, enjoy a gelato or sip a cocktail. #italy #puglia #apulia #roadtrip #italytravel #italybeauties #mediterranean #awesomepic
