Akiho-do Cave, located 100 meters underground in Akiyoshidai Quasi-National Park, is one of Japan's largest stalactite caves, stretching over 11.2 kilometers.

The temperature inside remains around 17 degrees Celsius year-round, making it pleasant to visit in any season. The sightseeing route inside the cave is about 1 kilometer long and has three entrances: the Kurotani entrance, the elevator entrance, and the main entrance. All three entrances allow entry, but if you're worried about the climb, you can enter from the Kurotani entrance. If you want to move directly to Akiyoshidai, you can exit directly from the elevator entrance.

The interior of Akiho-do Cave is filled with various uniquely shaped stalactites, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of nature's artistry. Examples include the 15-meter-high and 4-meter-wide "Golden Pillar" and the "Hundred-Panel Formation," resembling terraced rice fields. Notably, you can even see a resemblance to Taiwan here! Before exiting the cave towards the main entrance, the entrance, reflected in the river, appears to resemble the shape of Taiwan, a truly amazing sight. Mine City has been engaged in friendly exchanges with Taiwan for about 10 years. At the entrance to the Qiufangdong Shopping Street, there's a Queen's Head Friendship Memorial Stone from Yehliu Geopark; in winter, you might even see the Queen's Head covered in snow!

It's a great place to escape the summer heat and experience the wonders of nature. If you're ever in Yamaguchi, I highly recommend checking this place out!
