GGuest User: The hotel boasts a great location, just a 10-minute walk from the North Gate of Daming Ancient City. The surrounding area is a bustling commercial street, lively both day and night. The only drawback was that the road in front of the hotel was closed for construction when we visited, leaving only a narrow path leading to the hotel parking lot, which was somewhat inconvenient. The hotel has been open for a while, but overall it's well-maintained and clean. The breakfast was particularly impressive, being excellent for its price range. The hotel's private parking lot isn't large and would likely be crowded during peak season, but getting up from the parking lot is very convenient. Access to the hotel elevators requires a key card, which is a welcome feature.

The hotel faces Xie Shan Lake Park, so you can enjoy lake views from your room, and the night scenery is also beautiful. You can even climb Xie Shan to catch the sunset. Handan’s latest move is absolutely wild! Wearing ancient costumes to stroll through the ancient city, with 40 NPCs acting out a martial arts drama with you The moment I stepped into Guangfu Ancient City, I almost spilled the milk tea in my hand—under the city gate tower, armored soldiers slammed open the heavy wooden door with a clang, shouting "Open the city—", startling the pigeons above to flutter away. A girl in Hanfu walked by holding an oil-paper umbrella, and suddenly a "hero" wearing a bamboo hat popped out from around the corner, giving me a look: "Miss, are you here for the appointment?" Later I realized this wasn’t a time-travel drama scene, but the daily “crazy literature” of Handan people—here, even the old man selling sugar paintings will say, “Please come inside, guest.” Over 40 NPCs hide in every corner of the ancient city, ready to perform a grand martial arts drama with you anytime. Guangfu Ancient City: where you’re truly “in the play” Don’t sleep in early morning! The 8 o’clock city opening ceremony is a must-see. When the soldiers line up, their armor gleams in the light, and the magistrate’s voice reading the “announcement” drifts with the wind. The crowd of uncles squeeze forward holding up their phones: “Show this to my kid, now this is what ceremony feels like!” After the event, an NPC in a blue robe will slip you a note. Opening it, it reads—“At the third quarter of the Si hour, meet at the City God Temple,” instantly giving me goosebumps. A whole day of joyful “spoilers” · Watch the Tai Chi performance by the city wall. The white-bearded old man suddenly waves at you mid-move: “Come, try pushing me?” As soon as I took his hand, he used “four ounces to move a thousand pounds” to make me stagger, causing laughter all around. · Walking through the alleys, the rouge-selling landlady quietly says, “Shopkeeper Li on West Street is hiding a secret message, why don’t you ask him?” When you find Shopkeeper Li, he flips through his ledger pretending to be clueless: “Buy a box of ink sticks, and I’ll tell you...” · The most amazing is the “water, land, and air” Tai Chi show: on the water, a white-clad figure on a bamboo raft practices boxing; on the shore, the team forms an “S” shape; even in the sky, a kite suspends a “fairy” drifting by. The sunset casts shadows on the city wall like a living ink painting. At night, you’re fully “in character” I chose a “martial arts” themed murder mystery game, and my hands trembled when I got my character card—I was an orphan searching for family. Following clues, the wine seller suddenly lowered his voice: “The person you’re looking for went to the moat last night…” Turning around, I bumped into a sword-bearing guard who glared at me: “Miss, sneaking around, are you a demon from the evil cult?” Scared, I grabbed a young man dressed as a scholar and ran away. Later I found out he was also a tourist. Daming County: a “clash of old and new” by the canal After a bumpy hour-long bus ride from Guangfu Ancient City to Daming County, I was dazzled by the red lanterns as soon as I entered the Handan Dao Historical and Cultural Street. At the night market by the canal, a young lady in a qipao was live streaming singing Peking opera, while the old man at the next stall was crafting a “Grand Canal dragon boat” from sugar paintings, the sweet aroma blending with the river breeze. Don’t miss the night tour of the canal I rented a small boat drifting on the canal, the boatwoman rowing and singing folk tunes. Lanterns on both banks reflected in the water like scattered gold. Suddenly, a gong sounded on the shore, and a man in official robes held a lantern shouting, “The grain transport has arrived—” The cat at the bow jumped with a “meow,” making everyone on board laugh. The “adorable contrast” in the ancient street At the old cloth shop, an aunt was weaving homespun cloth while her granddaughter filmed a TikTok video, captioned “Grandma’s craftsmanship is more beautiful than any influencer’s filter.” Around the corner, a café used old door panels as tables. Drinking a latte while watching people in traditional mandarin jackets walk by outside—this mix of styles is truly unique. Local’s “no pretense” guide 1. Don’t rent expensive Hanfu. At Guangfu Ancient City’s entrance, an elderly lady sells handmade Hanfu for 80 yuan a set, including a hairband. It’s much cheaper than renting in the scenic area, and you can even wear it as pajamas after taking photos. 2. For meals, find places “with a stove.” The “Old Ma’s Crispy Fish” in the ancient city sets tables by the stove. The freshly caught crucian carp is so crispy you can eat the bones, paired with a bowl of millet porridge—pure comfort! 3. Choose the “light” script for murder mystery games. Avoid the brain-burning political intrigue lines. The martial arts line has more NPC interaction, and you can even sneak some of their “martial arts snacks” (actually local sugar balls). 4. Don’t take taxis for transportation. Bus 605 from Handan city center to Guangfu Ancient City costs 5 yuan direct, and on the bus, you can hear the elderly chatting about “whose Tai Chi is the best.” Before leaving, I sat on the city wall of Guangfu Ancient City, watching the sunset stretch shadows long. The armored NPCs had changed into casual clothes and squatted beside me eating buns: “Will you come again tomorrow? I’ll save you a ‘hidden mission.’” Suddenly I felt, Handan isn’t just a tourist spot—it’s a “happy hometown” you never want to leave. Now open Trip.com and search “Handan Guangfu Ancient City” to book a guesthouse next to the scenic area. Open the window and there’s the city wall—oh, and remember to bring an extra layer, the wind in the ancient city is even more lingering than the martial arts stories.

As dusk falls, an ancient city gently touched by time slowly unfolds before your eyes. Some say the most beautiful moment in Daming begins at sunset and awakens under the bright lanterns. When Hongjing Pavilion is instantly illuminated, it feels like a ceremony spanning a thousand years. The entire Song Street transforms into a flowing river of lights, with lanterns reflecting the smiles of the Lunar New Year. The next morning, I put on a Hanfu and walked into the ancient city’s Confucian Temple. With vermilion walls and black tiles under the lattice star gate, time seemed to slow down. Turning to Song Street, this street holds the code of history. The three museums—Stone Carving, Canal, and Ancient City Ruins—stand side by side, like opening a three-dimensional county chronicle. Taste is the fastest way to understand a city. The legendary flavors of “258”—Ermao Roast Chicken, Wubai Sausage, Guoba Fire Bake—are the New Year’s flavor symbols engraved on Daming’s palate. Strolling through the city, the majesty of the government office, the scholarly atmosphere of the academy, and the porcelain charm of the old hall together sketch the profound cultural texture of this ancient city. At night, stories are told in a different way. At the digital government office, a light touch awakens the legend of Detective Di Renjie. And not to be missed is the city’s dazzling light show. Sound, light, and electricity dance with the thousand-year-old city walls, pushing the Lunar New Year celebration to its peak. This is also where the craft of straw weaving continues, a hometown nostalgia in the heart of the legendary singer Teresa Teng. Daming is a city that perfectly blends deep history with warm daily life. Three days and two nights feel like a journey through time. From the brilliant lights to the morning Confucian Temple, from the fireworks on the tongue to the light and shadow at your fingertips… Daming taught me how to embrace history gently and celebrate a Chinese New Year that is rich in flavor yet simple, a name that will be passed down forever.

Located on the banks of the Yongji Canal, Daming Ancient City holds a prestigious name. It conceals the rich history of this northern prefecture. Once known as "Beijing" during the Northern Song Dynasty, it flourished for a time before a flood buried the ancient city. The existing Ming Dynasty city, having withstood six centuries of wind and rain, still retains its ancient walls and moat, and the intricate texture of its streets and alleys. Walking into the ancient city, ancient locust trees bear witness to the passing of time, and ancient steles are etched with the marks of history. A Catholic church, a blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles, adds to the cityscape. This place is widely known because of the novel *Water Margin* and its once-thriving canal trade. Without excessive hustle and bustle, the ancient alleys still retain the atmosphere of local life. Climbing the city walls offers panoramic views, allowing one to reflect on the past millennia of history and understand the unique tranquility and vicissitudes of this ancient canal city in every brick and piece of wood.
数羊小狗There is a light show during the Chinese New Year, which is worth going to. It is a good place to take the children for a stroll.
韩韩8599The Damingfu Ming City Wall, a model of the Ming and Qing dynasty city defense system, was first built as part of the relocation project after a flood in 1401. It comprises a stone-founded brick wall, a cluster of gate towers arranged in a triangular pattern, and 36 artillery emplacements, forming a complete defensive system. Having undergone 12 renovations during the Ming and Qing dynasties, nine li (approximately 2.5 kilometers) of the wall remains to this day.
The Catholic Church is located in the Damingfu Scenic Area, 200 meters from the east gate. The church has a magnificent appearance and is unique in European Gothic architectural style. There are also some other relics worth seeing, such as bullet holes. During the festival, there are many tourists, and the flow of people entering the church is limited, and people need to queue up, and taking photos is prohibited.
地毯式穷游中国How about Mount Tai? The verdant peaks of Qi and Lu stretch endlessly! As the foremost of the Five Sacred Mountains, Mount Tai's ticket price is quite reasonable. You can enter the mountain twice in three days. Hikers can ascend once via the Red Gate and once via the Eastern Imperial Road. At this time of year, a bed at the summit costs just over 100 yuan, which is acceptable. If you're lucky, you might see the sunrise!
旅行者太白Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden is definitely worth a visit. It not only has beautiful photo spots but also many fun interactive games. The interactive games before the large-scale festivals, such as "Spear-wielding Little Liang King" and "Tokyo Defense Battle," are especially fun! Hahahaha.
Anonymous userGuangfu Ancient City is a 5A scenic area in Handan, a rare combination of a water town, an ancient city, and a Tai Chi city in northern China. Entry is free, but separate tickets are required to climb the city walls, visit the government offices, and see the former residences. Key attractions: 1. Ming Dynasty City Wall: Well-preserved, offering panoramic views of the surrounding depressions and waterways, perfect for photos; the South Gate, Yanghe Gate, is a landmark photo spot. 2. Tai Chi Cultural Sites: The former residences of Yang Luchan and Wu Yuxiang, the birthplace of Yang and Wu styles of Tai Chi, where you can see late Qing Dynasty residences and inscriptions on Tai Chi theory. 3. Guangping Government Office: A Ming and Qing Dynasty government office complex, recreating the layout of an ancient government office; often featuring light shows and folk performances at night. 4. Night Cruise on the Moat: Enjoy a boat ride with a strong nighttime atmosphere; iron flower performances are also held on holidays.
火 火The most worthwhile place to visit and learn about history in Taiyuan is Jinci. To get there, you first need to go to the park and then walk through the park for about 2 kilometers. There are too few signs along the way, so it's easy to get lost.
Anonymous userMy second visit to Kaifeng fulfilled my dream of visiting Wansui Mountain Martial Arts City! The scenery perfectly recreated the martial arts world I envisioned, with meticulous attention to detail and everyone dressed in ancient costumes, creating a truly immersive experience. I collected silver tickets through interactive activities and redeemed them for a phone stand. The scenic area has expanded eastward this year and is constantly being updated. I look forward to my next visit to unlock even more new attractions, ensuring a constantly fresh experience.
