Lake Geneva

Lake Geneva, which shares the same name as the city, is very vast, with a sapphire-like color and sparkling in the sun. From Geneva Airport, you can take a train to Nyon, a small town on the shore of Lake Geneva. The hotel rooms there are large, and the lake view rooms also have terraces to enjoy the lake view. The breakfast is very rich and cost-effective. From the dock in Nyon, you can take a boat to the French flower town opposite and experience the fun of crossing two countries in half an hour. The price of the flower town is lower than that of Switzerland, and it is very pleasant to enjoy authentic French food there.

The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) is located in the historic Palais des Nations, the second largest UN centre after the UN Headquarters in New York. The facility is an outstanding testimony to twentieth-century architecture and is situated in the beautiful Parc Ariane in Geneva, Switzerland. The Palais des Nations is one of the largest diplomatic conference centres in the world. Around 8,000 meetings are organised every year. Most of the meeting rooms date back to the original building of the Palais des Nations in the 1930s.
