Swiss spring surprises - Bonigen to Brienzersee Lake Trail, experience "Europe's most beautiful streets" and fantastic lakes and mountains!

If you want to get away from the crowds, breathe the fresh air of the floral trails in Switzerland, or want to take the classic route known as "Europe's most beautiful streets" for yourself, Bönigen and then crossing to the Brienzersee lakeside must be included in your itinerary! There are nostalgic wooden houses, snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and wildflowers in full bloom in spring. Every step is fairy-like. Real shot: Wood carved window sill with flowers, more fantastic to completely no filter. (Local niche route, very few sightseeing tours, super quiet mood 🪵🌸)

1. Brunngasse - "Europe's Most Beautiful Street"
Brunngasse is an iconic attraction in the Swiss town of Brienz, about 300 meters long and lined with ancient 18th-century wooden houses. This street is ranked as one of the "most beautiful streets in Europe" because of its exquisite woodcut decoration and flowery window sills. When you come here, remember to slow down your pace, appreciate the little ideas under the roof of each house, and take pictures until you can't stop!

From Brunngasse, take a slow walk along a long and sloping hidden path towards the lakeside, and you will find that the view is getting more and more open along the way, and the blue water of the entire Lake Brienz will be seen in the later part (there will also be some breeze blowing in the spring super comfortable). The trail is surrounded by pure lake water on one side, snow-capped mountains on the other, and overlooking the entire town of Brienz on the way.

🪵My tip sharing
· Spring (March/April) came just in time, the flowers at the foot of the mountain just bloomed, the temperature, the trail were super comfortable, not too hot and not many tourists.
· It is recommended to prepare comfortable hiking shoes, because the section of Brunngasse through the lake, although beautiful, but a bit steep and long, walk to the end everyone said it was worth the fare.
· Connecting snack/picnic cloth, a sit on the lakeside grass will have Swiss talents enjoying the immediate sense of spring.
· Some areas along the road do not have much shade, remember to bring sunglasses and sunscreen!

· For an authentic Swiss town taste, there are several traditional family restaurants near Brunngasse, such as: Hotel Restaurant Steinbock, which offers super delicious Swiss cheese fondue and handmade desserts.
