Gehu Lake, also known as West Taihu Lake, is also commonly known as Shazi Lake, also known as Xige Lake, Xige Shazi Lake and West Taihu Lake. It is located in Wujin District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is the second largest lake in southern Jiangsu after Taihu Lake. It connects the Yangtze River in the north, Taihu Lake in the east, and Changdang Lake in the west, like a piece of jasper, quietly inlaid on the ground of southern Jiangsu. 164 square kilometers of blue waves, hidden from ancient times to the present, have raised countless children of Changzhou Wujin; 215 million square meters of lake water, including Wu Yue, infiltrated the incomparably deep and distant. Since its completion, the Lanyuewan Scenic Spot in the north of West Taihu Lake has been the focus of local citizens because its first-level platform has been submerged by the lake for many times. In 2013, Lanyuewan invested 19.04 million to transform the artificial landscape and improve the hydrophilic platform.
