Photos of Shaji Street

Beihai Shaji Street (now Minjian No. 1 Alley) began in the first year of Daoguang (1821) and has a history of more than 180 years. The street is more than 400 meters long and runs east to west. China Street, Xinghua Street and Shaji Street are built on the same sand ridge belt, and these three streets are connected end to end, becoming the prosperous commercial long street in Beihai in the early days. Later, Beihai people collectively called these three streets Shaji Street.
