The French Consulate in Beihai, built in 1890, is a physical evidence of the establishment of a diplomatic institution by France in Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The current site is located in the Beihai Guest House. It is a one-story Western-style building with a length of 34.7 meters and a width of 20.7 meters. meters, the plane is concave, covers an area of 718 square meters. The platform is two meters high. There is a cloister, and the Lanhe beside the corridor is installed with antique blue flower vases and feldspar slats, which are elegant and gorgeous. There is an octagonal water tower in the northwest corner of the consulate. Under the corner of the front is a cornerstone inscribed in Chinese and French "Grand French Consular Office". The interior is fully equipped with office, billiards room, living room, dining room, bedroom, bathroom and fireplace. The pavilion shows the style and exoticism of European classical gardens from the exterior arch carvings to the interior elegant settings, as well as the camphor forests and evergreen flowers and plants planted around it.
