Silomminra Temple was built by King Silomminra in 1218 and is the last Burmese-style temple in Bagan. A hawker selling sand paintings said that he knew that there was a small tower with a nice view to climb up, without money or buying his things, so we followed.

To be honest, I’ve seen too many pagodas and I don’t remember which one is which. I just think it’s particularly spectacular to climb to the pagoda to watch the sunset. It’s especially worth seeing. At that time, the temple’s exterior was being renovated and the pagoda at the top was surrounded by green nets and scaffolding. Many workers are carrying out repair work.

The last Burmese pagoda in Bagan. There is also a short story about the construction of the Pagoda of Di Luo Mingluo. Legend has it that the king of Bagan who built this pagoda was established here as the prince from five brothers, so he built his pagoda here. Very beautiful and spectacular!

This building was built in the 13th century, and some renovation work is currently underway, but the structure of the building is still very impressive. From behind it looks like this is a great place to take pictures. Interestingly, our tour guide pointed out that there are some flip flops by the back door, which can be borrowed to wear and take pictures, because if you want to enter this temple, you must take off your shoes at the front door.
