    Dinosaur stone statue

    Original Text

One episode of laughter. Once upon a time, when the chief priest ordered a stone statue of a dragon, it was said that 「 Now 」, and instead it was a stone statue of a dinosaur. Now that dinosaurs are placed in one corner of the precincts, it is installed as it is because 「 dragons and dinosaurs will not be much different 」. A local volunteer guide explained (big laugh).

    It's in a residential area.

    Original Text

The explanation of the location is difficult, but it is a temple in a residential area about a 10-minute walk from Totsuka Station. A large Kannon was enshrined in the precincts. Although it is a residential area, it was a temple with a calm atmosphere with lots of greenery. It is said to be one of the Seven Lucky Gods of Totsuka.

    The Seven Blessed Gods

    Original Text

When I thought it was an ordinary temple that was located in a residential area and was everywhere, it seems that it was built by a person named Kojiro Takenoshita of the Miura clan during the Muromachi period. However, some of them say that Masako Hojo built it for the memorial service of Minamoto no Yoritomo a long time ago. Anyway, it seems to be a temple with a considerable history in Totsuka. There is a statue of Ebisu, one of the seven lucky gods of Totsuka, in the precincts.

A temple of the Soto sect enshrining Ebisu at Totsuka-juku

    Original Text

From the west exit of Totsuka Station, walk north on National Highway 1, turn left at the Kuratsubo intersection and turn left in front of Yokohama Shindo. The mountain number is called Ryuyayama, and since it was built in 1210, it seems to be the oldest temple enshrining the Seven Lucky Gods at Totsuka-juku. In the precincts, the appearance of Mr. Ebisu with a long bamboo pole was impressive.
