北海流濕地

Beihailiu Reservoir is located in the east of Beihailiu Village, Beishizhou Township, Hohhot City, and on the north side of Xingdaoqu, southwest of Aotai Village, Bingzhouhai Township. It is a small reservoir. Its water source mainly comes from the abandoned water of Xiaohei River during the non-irrigation period and the floods of Shuimogou and Dongbaishitougou, and the floods of various small flood ditches during the flood season. The construction of the reservoir started in 1981 and was completed in 1983. In 1985, the earth embankment was repaired and reinforced. In 2007, the reservoir was reinforced, and the design standard of the reservoir was raised from once in 10 years to once in 20 years, and the 50-year standard was increased. The embankment top elevation reached 1013.9m, the embankment top width was 4m, and the water-facing dam surface was 4 kilometers long with dry stone masonry. The reservoir storage capacity reached 8.82 million m³.
